Chapter 25: Amber (Harry's POV)

    It had been a week since I met Amber, we hung out quite a lot. She went to our last 2 soccer games and I showed her around town. She hadn't met the lads yet, but it was going to happen today. The lads and I had band practice today, and I had told them I wanted them to meet someone new. I hadn't been around them as much other than at soccer. I hadn't been around Alannah much either other than when she went to the soccer games. She sat near the bleachers close to the benches where the other soccer players sat. Collin couldn't play due to his arm, but he still had to go to the games.

   When we got to Liam's house, I saw that Amber was a bit nervous. I gave her a comforting hug.

"It's ok, they'll like you. I know they will."

"It's just everyone else at school is a bit harsh," she said, worriedly.

    We walked into the open garage and I saw Alannah. Everyone greeted Amber. Alannah was the last one.

"Amber this is Niall, the food lover. Liam, the most mature one. Louis, the prankster. Zayn, the 'bad boy'. Alannah, the sister of all of us crazy ones."

"So who are you in the band?" she giggled.

"I'm the charmer," I said smiling. 

I looked at Alannah and saw her roll her eyes.

"This is a really nice place," Amber said looking at the instruments, bean bag chairs, and ping pong table.

The rest of the band came in.

"This is Josh, Sandy, Dan and John. The ones who make us sound better."

"Nice to meet you all."

"You too," said Josh.

"Should we start?" asked Dan.

    We all said yes. Alannah went inside the house to get us all water and snacks. When she came out, we played songs. We played What Makes You Beautiful, C'mon C'mon, Kiss You, and Live While We're Young. We also sang Heartbreak Girl by a band we saw on Youtube called 5 Seconds of Summer.

I looked at Amber and she was smiling. I smiled back, and she blushed. I looked over at Alannah. She looked hurt, uncomfortable and a bit jealous.

    I had to take both girls home. The car ride was a bit awkward. I took Amber home first. I didn't want to but I kind of had to.

"Thanks, Harry. I had fun, you guys sound great!" she said as I walked her up to the door. She kissed my cheek goodbye.

I went back to the car and Alannah had a serious face. She was looking straight forward and didn't talk to me. Until I said something.

"You ok?"

"Yeah. Why?" she said with a hint of attitude.

"You're quiet and you look so serious."

"Just thinking about things."

"Like?"

"Homework," she lied. 

I wasn't going to sweat it. If she wanted to tell me, she would've.

"How long is Collin going to have his cast?"

"Until after spring break," she said shortly. 

I had forgotten about spring break. I've been around Amber so much that I almost forgot.

    We drove up to our houses and I opened the door for her. She thanked me and walked straight to her house. I went into mine and got changed into something more comfortable. I went downstairs and got something to eat. When I came back up to my room, I looked out my window and saw Alannah brushing her wet hair. She looked beautiful doing it. She was still beautiful in my eyes. To get her off my mind, I texted Amber. She was fun and a bit bubbly. I had really hit it off with her.
