After Thanksgiving dinner, Alannah, the lads and I went to the mall for Black Friday. I ran into girls in almost every store flirting with me. At the moment, I didn't feel like it. Someone else had my attention.
God, Lana looked so good in her dress today. Now that she's wearing her jeans with her hoodie, she still managed to take my breath away. We walked into what seemed like a million stores. Thankfully, we all got what we wanted. We practically ran in to all the stores. Of course, we kept getting told to not run by security guards every now and then.
I had 3 bags filled with clothes, shoes, and electronics. The last store we went to was Claire's. Alannah wanted to go there of course. The boys sat on the bench just outside of the store. I decided to go in with her. I wanted to get her a random present. I looked at the racks of necklaces.
One caught my eye. Two actually. It was one of those friendship necklaces. They were the only ones that weren't girly. I read the tag and it said "One for Him. One for You- For Your Best Guy Friend". It was of paper airplanes. It reminded me of us flying to London. I wanted her and I to stay friends once we became "big" and famous people. I went to the cashier to pay for it, looking around to make sure Lana wasn't looking.
"Hello. Did you find everything ok?" asked the cashier.
"Yes, thank you."
"Will that be all?"
"Yes, please," I said, double checking that Alannah wasn't anywhere near the register.
She told me the total and I handed her the money.
"Thank you, have a good day."
"Thanks, you too."

Alannah rode home with me. I liked our time together in the car. It gave us some one-on- one time. I pulled up to our houses and I quickly went to the other side to get the door open for her. I also helped with her bags. We walked to her door side by side. I believed in chivalry, that's why I always helped her. I did it with every female. We hugged goodnight. But I forgot to give her the necklace.
"Wait, Lana. I got you something," I said as I pulled out the tiny bag from a bigger one. "I got us matching paper airplane necklaces. It's a friendship gift from me to you."
"Aw! Thanks Harry." she said smiling.
God that smile drove me nuts. I took the tags off and put mine on, then handed her's to her. She was struggling with putting it on.
"Let me help," I said.
I turned her around and moved her hair to the side. I could smell it from inches away. Like a tropical smell of coconut and ocean breeze.
"I know we're both going to go far in London. And no matter what happens, I'll be there for you. No matter how famous we get. Promise to never take it off?," I said, as I was clipping it on her.
She turned around and looked at me.
"Promise," she assured me.
"Good, cause I'm not taking mine off."
She yawned and rubbed her eyes. They were getting a bit red.
"I see you're tired, I'll let you go. Love you, see you tomorrow."
"Bye Harry. See you tomorrow."
We hugged goodbye and she kissed my cheek. I felt my cheek burning, and butterflies in my stomach. My lips tingled, I wanted them to connect with hers. She walked into her house and closed the door.
I was lying in bed all night thinking of her. She'll never be yours, Harry. You're a loser. She will always like Collin better than you. Get her out of your mind! Find another girl. There's more of them. There's plenty of fish in the sea. I couldn't have her, she isn't mine. She never will be. I had to move on from this stupid little crush. I texted a few girls to see if they wanted to hang out and they imediately replied back with a big "YES!" What can I say? Girls loved me.
