Bright lights flashed from the passenger side of my car. I felt the car flip and I was able to move enough to grab my phone that landed within arm's reach. I sent a quick text to Alannah, telling her I loved her. I felt like something bad was going to happen. I wanted to say my last goodbye if anything serious where to happen. Next thing I knew, everything went black.
I woke up to an oxygen tube in my nose and doctors around me. I felt a sharp pain in my arm. I looked down and saw a cast. I looked back up and saw the doctor looking at me.
"Oh good, you're up," he said.
"What happened?"
"Mr. Styles, you were in a car wreck. Everything is fine, you just have a broken arm. You'll have to stay in the cast for a few months."
"Is my family here?"
"Yes. I haven't gotten the chance to tell them how you are. They'll be ecstatic to know that you're awake now. I'll be right back."
I looked up at the ceiling, waiting for my family to come into my room. It felt like forever until they came in. My mom and Robin came in first. I was surprised that Alannah didn't come in with them.
"Since there's so many of us, the doctor said only 2 at a time," my mum said, noticing I was searching for Lanna.
We talked a bit with the doctor, telling us that I needed to take it easy. If I was in any sports, I couldn't participate. We all nodded, taking note of it.
They all walked out of the room, my mother kissing me saying she'll be telling Alannah and the boys to come in. Louis and Niall came in. Then Alannah's parents came saying if I needed them, they were there for me. They're such nice neighbors. After them, came Zayn and... Amber?! I wasn't going to be rude to her, but I definitely didn't want her here. She caused too much drama. Finally, Zayn and her left the room.
After what felt like centuries, Alannah came in. Her eyes were bloodshot red and puffy. Her nose was cute and red as well. Her eyeliner was smeared around her eyes. She stepped in slowly into my room. She stopped by the side of my hospital bed, sitting down on the chair.
"Hey," she said softly.
"Hey," I said softly in return.
She looked into my eyes. And I looked into her beautiful brown ones. They glazed over, tears were forming. She was trying to hold them back. But once one slipped out, the came down pouring like rain. She put her head down on my bed and started sobbing.
I reached for her hand and took it in mine. I rubbed circles against the back of her thumb. I rubbed her head, pulling her chin up with my other hand.
"Hey, don't cry. Babe, I'm alright. Everything is alright."
She looked up and continued sobbing.
"I was so scared, Harry. I thought maybe you wouldn't make it. That I'd never see you again. When Liam said you were in an accident, I felt a bullet hit my heart."
"I'm fine. Well, despite my arm. Did you get my text?"
"Yes. I read it."
"No, I mean did you GET it?"
"Wha-what do you mean? Yes, I got it."
"I love you, Alannah."
"I love you too, Harry."
"No. Alannah, I mean 'I love you'. I'm in love with you."
"I am too, Harry. I am too."
I pulled her in for a kiss. I kissed her so lovingly. She sat on my bed, I wrapped my arms around her, still kissing her.
I could've died, and the first and last person I thought of was Alannah. I was madly, truly, deeply in love with her. As long as we were together, I knew everything would be alright.
