Chapter 90: Figure It Out

It was 10 at night my time and I was currently waiting for Nick to call me. Tomorrow the boys were shooting a music video and they asked me to be in it. I set my alarm for 6 am, since we started shooting at 8. Shortly after, my phone started ringing.

"Hey, babe."

"Alannah, is there something you have to tell me?" Nick said, furiously.

I was surprised by his tone of voice, he's never talked to me like that before.

"No. Is everything alright?"

"No, nothing is 'alright'. How could you? I trusted you. Fuck, I should've known better."

"Nick, what are you talking about? Please, explain why you're so angry."

"My fucking girlfriend is cheating on me with her guy best friend while I'm halfway across the world, that's what I'm talking about!"

"Where are you getting this from?"

"It's all over the media. You showing up to Harry's house in skimpy clothes and then leaving with him in his shirt."

"It's not what it looks like. I got drunk and literally passed out."

"How are you denying it when there's actual proof?"

"You know not everything is tr--"

"Fuck that! I see the way he looked at you when I was there. There's obviously some chemistry between you guys."

"I've known Harry for a long time, ever since high school. Please, just let me explain," I begged.

"I don't want to hear it. Figure out what you want. Right now, I'm done."

"Nick, babe, wai--."

I heard him hang up. This hit me like a tractor, coming out of nowhere. He should know that there's always lies and rumors floating about in Hollywood. So why couldn't he just listen to me.

   I cried myself to sleep. Tossing and turning, only thinking about him. The night was full of restlessness. In the morning, I could feel the bags under my eyes. The first thing I wanted, was a hug from Harry's comforting arms.
