My Days With Alex

Detention

  As the bell was ringing, Tobin asked  me "don't we have the same class together?" I looked down at my schedule scanning through black and white I looked backed at her, and nodded. We both walked into class together, feeling eyes glaring at us as made our way inside. Our teacher Mrs. Hamilton looked at us and howled "y'all are late, do y'all have a tardy pass?" We looked at each other and both said "no." Almost in perfect sync

Mrs. Hamilton continued "okay well, since ya didn't get a tardy pass, I guess y'all can get detention, and for you Ms. Morgan." Mrs.Hamilton continued without giving the girls a chance to speak "I know you're new, famous but that doesn't mean you get any special treatment, understand?" I was puzzled, I never got detention in my life. I turned backed and said, "yes ma'am."

  As me and Tobin we took our seats, but Ash and KO both couldn't stop gawking at us with these snarky grins on their faces. Pinoe taped on both of our shoulders and starting, laughing, asking us "ready for detention?" We both looked really un-amused about it, in sync, we both said "no." KO quickly turned to facing the two. She coughed out jokingly..."sure," Tobin stared at KO confused and said, "what was that?" Before KO could finish the bell rang.

A couple of hours left school was dragging slow, before I knew it, I had to go back to Mrs. Hamilton classroom for detention. I walked in alone, so far it was just me in the classroom. I took a seat and thought to myself 'wondering if Tobin would show'. A couple of minute's , and I saw Mrs. Hamilton sitting there at her desk. She looked at the door with a smirk practically teasing Alex "I guess your friend is a show, that wouldn't be the first time." When she said that Tobin walked in and took the seat beside me. Right then and there I could tell this was about to get interesting. When Mrs. Hamilton looked at Tobin, she was dumbfounded, and most of shocked "that's the first you are here." Tobin replied "yeah your right" with a smiled on her face. Mrs. Hamilton told us not to talk to each other and no phones, it was boring, but I couldn't stop being amused by Tobin. Her body motion so swift yet so pleasing. It was as if she was walking on thin air. Her beautiful smile, it was utterly distracting. I've never seen a diamond white smile other than my own, but for some reason, she seems to shine brighter than I. A star.

After I snapped back to reality Tobin was laughing and said, "hey Alex um...Mrs. Hamilton left so we can talk now, or are you worried that you will get caught talking?" I looked up at her and said, "what do you want to talk about?" I giggled a little bit afterwards. She straight up asked, "why did you come back and become a normal teenager, didn't you have "the life?" I was stunned when she said that and looked down, nearly hurt by her words I said, "it's tiring when you are acting and moving around for films. The media, don't get me started about the media..." She laughs and said "well damn, welcome back sorry about early today for getting your detentions" almost by lightning strike. I reacted with no haste saying "it's totally okay cause I wouldn't want to be here with anyone else" I smiled at her and when I looked at her; she was starting to blush.

  Before she could say anything, Mrs. Hamilton walked in, and I knew I had to shut up. Wondering what will happen after detention, but before I did I pulled out a piece of paper and wrote, "so Tobin. What's your deal, you first act like you want to know me, but somehow you want to push me away..." I handed it to her she received it and opened it and looked at puzzled. She grabs her pen and started to reply she handed it back to me. Of course, I read it, and it said, "it's hard for you to understand me,  for you, I can't let you get hurt because of me...I feel somewhat drawn to you, and it's different.

It's a weird feeling I've never felt for anyone...but I'm sorry I can't hurt you, and you are too good for me... Sorry Lex." I was surprised what she said, even more surprised by what she meant, but before I could say or write anything, she was gone. I had one though left in my head ' she's hiding something from me. I almost feel it. I know she's only trying to push me away, what I don't know is why? If she is able to stay in the same room for detention and open up to me little then, why I do I feel like she's trying to be discrete?' Before I knew it, detention was over, this conversation we had was over, and I haven't talked to Tobin  since... I have the feeling, she's trying to avoid me, shut me out, can you feel it?
