My Days With Alex

Right Here Waiting

A/N: I just want to say Get Well Pinoe!! Tough lost to her about her today as she torn ACL.

The nurses ran into her room to start the defibrillation, and an intern ran in to take it in her hands now. She made the one nurse to call the doctor as she shocked her one time, nothing. "Go up another 100!" She yells as she shocked Tobin's chest again and nothing as a little of lines went up. They went up again on the numbers and with the three times her heart monitor starting to heart lines and numbers again.

The cardiologist was there and saw that the intern did well and wanted Tobin to stay alone for a couple of minutes to see if she can be stable. So the intern and nurses would check Tobin every five minutes as they tried they looked at her chart and tell her family what's going on.

Finally, the cardiologist wanted to take x-rays of Tobin's heart, so he went to the waiting room and told her grandpa Danny as he nodded and just waited like Alex and the others.

A few minutes later, the x-ray was clear, and he didn't understand why Tobin crashed. He wanted to only talk to Alex about what happen since she's the only person who was there when it happened. He walked out in his scrubs and saw Alex sitting by her dad as he could tell she was only getting a couple of minutes of sleep.

"May I talk to you" he asked Alex.

"Yes sir. Is everything's fine?" She tells him as he stood in front of her.

"What happen?" He asked as she was confused about the question.

"Well I was talking to her. I closed my eyes. She woke up and then crashed in front of me" Alex's explained as he nodded.

"Do you mind sitting with her and do it again?" He asked her as she smiled.

"Yes sir" she tells him as, he nodded, and they walked back to her room.

Alex's POV
I took my same spot beside her, duplicate things on her, iv in the same spot, oxygen mask over her mouth, and she was just the identicle like before.

I sat there and decided to think about what to say to her. What can I possibly say that I haven't already said to her? She must can hear because she woke up once so I hope she wakes up again hearing my voice.

"Hi Tobin, it's your Lex, baby horse, babe, and your Alex." I say as like that would wake her up.

"Tobin I did this one episode if you remember, but my character had this huge standoff with a player and ref, and I remember that I had to fight that player. We practice that fight so many times, but she actually hit me and I felled down to the ground bleeding. I got up and started to attack that actress. Why am I telling you this because once I heard about your accident, I wanted to react that moment with the doctors, your dad, and this guy who saved you" she explains to Tobin with a tear going down her cheeks as she laughed too.

"I hope you can hear me because everybody is outside in the waiting room waiting for you. I don't want to leave until you wake up okay even though my mom might force me, but I will have a standoff with her. Tobs I need you not just because I love you, I need you like the team needs you. Tobin you are my family, part of me, everybody who in the waiting room consider you as family" she says as tears are now rolling down on her cheeks and hitting Tobin's hand.

"I love you with all of my heart Tobin Heath, so wake up for me or all of us." She cries as she felt a finger move.

"Toby" she says

An unclear message that Tobin was trying to say because of her oxygen mask. "What?"

Tobin takes it off and slowly breaths on her own. "You are my family" she says before putting on the oxygen mask on again.

Tears was going down on Alex and Tobin as Alex got up and touches Tobin's face and saw her brown eyes. "I love you" she says before leaving to get a intern or nurse.

The intern came and called the doctor, they let Alex back in and then got Danny. Alex and Danny saw Tobin moving her fingers and blinking in front of them. The doctor game in and took off her oxygen masked and said, "welcome back Tobin. I need you to take things slow okay."

Tobin nodded and said, "I love you too Alex." Alex smiled tight her grip on Tobin's hand.

"Okay Tobin can you follow my finger, wiggle your toes, move your arms up and down, and can you breath all right" he says as Tobin did what he asked and nodded.

"What happen to my left leg" as she saw a cast on it.

"You broke it Tobin" Alex said in a soft tone

Tobin cried and looked up, and the doctor knew this can stress her out. "Tobin I need you to stay calm okay" he says as he places the oxygen mask back on her.

The doctor, intern and nurse left for family and friend to visit the only person who was not allowed was her dad. The intern came back and took off her oxygen mask and said, "we checked her chart she's clear but please take it slowly Tobin." She left, and Tobin smiled seeing that everybody was here for her.

"Can I be alone with Alex please" Tobin tells them as they listen and left.

"Hi" Alex said.

"Come her" Tobin tells me as I walked to her.

She pats on the bed to make me lay with her. I laid next to her on the right side, so I won't hurt her left leg.

"Lex I love you. I can tell you haven't slept so go to sleep, I'm fine babe" she tells as she kissed my top of my head.

"But Toby" I say but I got cut off by "no buts."

"It's okay because when you wake up, I be here, and you have been right here waiting" she says as I smiled.

"Did you just think of that song by Richard Marx Right Here Waiting?" I questioned her.

"Haha maybe now go to sleep" she says as I noticed her warm body coming back to me and her beautiful laugh and smile.

I closed my eyes and couldn't believe she's a wake and wants me to sleep. I just thought of the song by Richard Marx and felled asleep feeling Tobin's warmth.
