Plan Is Working

Alex's P.O.V
I knew around 6:45 I should call my mom or Servando. When it that time Servando was calling I was confused why because I was trying to say my goodbyes and good luck to the team. I answer "hey Serv, what's going on?" I heard him chuckle in the background and said, "my father just called and said the power went out at the office so now we might have to wait a couple of hours." When he said that I was shock, and then I saw Sydney saying, "Alex come on we heard the news let's go." I walked off the bus and took my original spot to Tobin and said, "Tobin um why am I on the bus and not getting ready? I know that the power went out, but still it makes know sense." She just kept looking at her phone and put her headphones and didn't reply to me,

We got to this school to play our playoff game against the Longhorns. We were in the locker room and coach Jill said, "these are the lineup and Alex you are starting." I was excited and confused at the same time. I just knew my mom was going to be pissed if she finds out that I'm here. I know my mom texted me say, "power out, but still I need you here." The game was about to start in 15 minutes, so I had a chance to talk to Tobin before the game.

I saw my girlfriend sitting by the locker lucky she was not reading her bible. I walked towards and said, "Tobin can we talk?" She looked at me nodded as she got up, and we walked outside to talk privately. "So I'm going to guess that you planned this or knew something was going on?" She laughed and said "maybe" I looked at her then a slap her arm. "Ouch" I heard her say as she continued "yes, I planned this so you could play." I smiled and grabbed her face giving her a kissed around her face. She laughed and said, "stop I have a game to be focus on" I smiled and said, "fine and thank you; I can't believe you did this for me." She was about to kiss me, but we heard "let's go its time for starting lineup and national anthem."

We ran to our number spots and walked on the field. We heard our names and the national anthem and knew it was game time. I looked in the crowd and saw my father and sister I smiled and waved at them. The kick off started and the Longhorns was attacking a number of 12, and 16 were the best attackers. I saw Tobin struggle with a number of 5, but somehow she found a way to nutmeg her and do her fancy foot work. I sprint and saw she passed it to me; I did my first touch and then saw the goalie off her line and took the shoot. It hit the back of the net in 23 minutes and ran straight to the stands pointed at my family and then was followed by my teammates.

It was halftime, and we had the 1-0 lead. I saw Tobin on her phone, and I said, "get off the phone." She jumps and hit the button, so I wouldn't see what she was doing. I wasn't worried, but I still wanted to know she hugged me and said, "nice goal" I laughed, and I told, "nice assist." Tobin got up and said I be right back I watch walk away as she went to Christen, Ashlyn and Hope. Kelley and Syd scared me and started to have a conversation with me.

Tobin's P.O.V
At halftime, I was glad that I got in assist and my girlfriend scored. I was mainly worried about how the nerds are handling the power outage at that office building. I got my phone and saw a text that said, "we are trying our hardest, but it might be cut out short." Then I heard a voice say, "get off the phone" I jump and saw it was Alex, and I turn my phone on black. I kissed her and told her good goal before walking to talk to Ash, Hope and Christen. Once I was with them; I told them news, and we looked at Jill and Jill knew. The only backup plan we had was Alex, and I get sub off and exit the game immediately. Hope was about to call one of the nerds, but it was time for the second half.

Alex's P.O.V
I was just thinking to myself why is Tobin acting strange I know I shouldn't be worry about her cheating on me, but still I was really wanted to know what was going. The second half was about to start so I shook it off to get ready for this half. As the Longhorns kick off our backline, Cheney and Moe were defending great. Hope had to save twice, but we were the better team. Carli, Repinoe, and Heath were attacking. Repinoe took a cross and found Abby for the header. It was 2-0 and only the 55 minute. I looked at the sideline and saw the ref hold the sub numbers, and it was Tobin and I am getting sub out by Syd and a senior Heather.

As we both were walking to the bench our assistant coach pulled us aside and said, "security is here to take ya back. Alex you can't miss this dinner-dance and, I don't think your mother will be happy. Your dad is waiting for you to, and Tobin is just walking you out." I was so confused and then hit me; I totally forgot about the dinner dance.

I saw my dad and sisters, and I kissed Tobin and said, "I'll talk to you later." I got in the car, and my dad was speeding to get me home. We got home, and I ran upstairs glad my mom wasn't home yet. I took a hot nice shower and then got out and saw my dress waiting for me to put it on. I heard a knock and it was my mom saying, "good you didn't go to that game and why don't you have your outfit on oh never mind. Come down stairs I think you're going to be proud of me." I walked downstairs and saw my makeup and hair stylist, and I said, "thank you mom." I told them "I wanted a classy bun and not too many makeups." Once they were done I put on my skirt and gently put on my black crop top.

As I was putting on my heels, and I heard a knock on the door my dad answer it, and it was Servando. He walked in and said, "Alex you look beautiful," I smiled and saw that he had a black and white tuxedo with a royal blue tie on. I answered back "you don't look bad for yourself" he smiled and said, "ready to go." I was his date, so I had to go with him, and my parents and sisters followed us behind. Once I got there I saw that the light was back on, and it reminds me of Tobin and how she tried to let me play the whole game. It sucks that I couldn't finish and celebrate with the team.

The office was covered in shine silver ribbons and blue around it. I saw a lot of people I didn't know mostly because they were much older than me and a couple of teenagers but few. I saw Servando talking to this beautiful girl I walked over and said, "hi I'm Alex" she smiled and said, "hi I'm Mia." Once she said her name, I said, "you are the one he can't stop talking about" she blushed, and he did too. We dance together and then it was time to eat this late dinner.

Tobin's P.O.V
After she left I watch the team a couple of minutes, and we won 2-1, I was excited about the win, but the only thing that was going through my mind was getting to that dance with Hope, Ashlyn, Ali and Kelley. I know that it's a surprise, but we are kind of getting paid for working as a waiter.

Once we got back on the bus, we were celebrating once I saw the school building I ran to my vehicle and drove to my house. I took a nice quick shower, and I got out and started to get dressed. I put on the royal blue pants on and a blue sport bra. I heard a knock and I said, "I'm getting dressed" I heard my papa voice say, "good game and I want to help you with the sleeves." I laughed and put on deodorant and then my white button up long sleeve on. I open the door, and he said "wow" I laughed and said, "help please." He started to button them for me and help with my black bow tie.

Before I put on the jacket, I blew dry my hair and brushed out, silk it back and made it straight. I walked downstairs, and my grandpa had the jacket ready for me. He helps me put it on, and he said, "you look amazing and good luck." I smiled and said, "thank you" before I left I want to the restroom to make sure I looked good and the apart axe on me.

I was in the car, and before I drove I got a text from Ash saying, "we are headed there now." I backed out and drove to the office once we got there I saw them at the backdoor. Once we got there we heard people say, "finally, and I hope that game was good." We nodded and notice it was time for dinner, and we were about to pass out plates. Hope, Ash walked out first and when I walked out I saw the most beautiful girl sitting there with this big ocean blue eyes.

She looked up and saw Ash and then blinked twice, and then she was speechless. Next she saw me and did a double take then she gasps and later her mom looked at me, and she had this death glare at me.
