My Days With Alex

Good Time

"Tobin where are we going?" I hear Briss asked.

I turned around, and I saw she was half sleepy and awake. I laughed and thought to myself "why I don't know where we are actually going."

"I don't know" I say

I hear River laughed and Briss just smiled. I turned to the front and saw it was 9:45pm, and we are still driving. River looked at me, and I knew he had to stop either restroom break or for gas.

He pulled into a convince store, Briss and I slowly walked into the store as she went straight to the candy section. I laughed as I hopped around the store because of this broken leg. Briss help getting drinks, snacks for us as we went to the cashier and paid before leaving.

River called me over when Briss went into the car. "What's up" I asked when I saw him closing the gas cap.

"Nothing but you need to stop and think what we are doing and what you're doing especially when you are in relationship" he says as he left me standing there.

I stood there awhile thinking to myself. He's right I don't know what I'm doing I ran off. We are somewhere in California. I brought this random girl I don't know and left Alex dazed and confused. I shook my thoughts out and got back into the car, and I looked at River and I nodded.

"Beach sounds good?" He asked as we both scream "yes!"

The drive was long, and the music was medium as I looked back and saw Briss asleep. I turned back to look at the road, and I saw a few cars, and then the flashback happens.

"Screeching tires" lights are a blur. My head is pounding, pain in my leg and a random guy taking me out of the vehicle. Blackness around me, voices, and worried sounds."

"Tobin what are you thinking about?" I hear someone say as I snapped back to reality.

"Tobin what's wrong you look like you seen a ghost" I hear River say.

Next thing I feel warm drips on my cheek, and I knew I was crying. "Just I had a flashback about the wreck, and I should be dead to be honest" I say as River stayed focused on the road.

"Tobin listens to me yes but no, your not your alive, breathing and your have a great life. I'm sorry for what happen and what I did trying to kiss you that wasn't okay." He says

"Yeah I know but I'm acting out at this moment in time look I just text you outta of everybody to pick me up, and Alex is probably going to break up with me now" I tell him.

"No she won't. Tobin your bored being in a house and yes your going to be mad and act out. I did and I got into deep shit when I blew my knee anyways, that's why you text me you want me to help you get though this" he  told me.

Maybe his right I'm mad about everything and probably that's why I did text him; he does understand unlike my friends, but why did I run out of Alex's house and took Ethan's girlfriend.

I felt the car stop no movement when I looked out we were here. I saw the beach, moonlight, and a house. I turned to River and he said, "this is mine family's beach house."

He got out, and I told him "go straight in I got her."

I open her door and I tapped on Briss shoulder, "wake up we are here."

She moved not in my direction, and I knew this was going to be hard to get out of her of the car. "Briss wake up" I say one more time.

I hear her mumble under her breath, and she slowly opened her eyes as she turned to me. "Why?" She said as I smiled.
