Alex Interview

Flashback: After the day with Tobin and her grandpa, I got a phone call telling me to come straight home. So that's what I did with Tobin's help. When I got home, my manager was there and wanted to talk about this gig, she got me. I was dumbfounded and speechless, as she said, "Alex I have a movie gig for you. You will film on weekends and miss a few days of school, but you will still be doing school work too." Alex looked around and didn't have anything to say. She finally found the words to say, "I can't sorry, I want to take a break and there is soccer now, and I can't let them down." Her mom and manager were shock and said, "Alex but this is your dream not soccer." Alex stared at her mom and said, "no that's your dream not mine. I'm taking a break, and I don't want to do this movie. I take a small gig but no movie sorry." Her mom was upset, and she walked out the room; her dad was proud of Alex and then let her and her manager to speak alone. Her manager told her "all right I find something else, and I like how you stood up for yourself, and I'll find a new gig. What about small interview or modeling you decide and call me all right? Goodnight Alex talked to you later." Alex replied as her manager was walking out of the door "yes ma'am and thank you. I will let you know." Alex walked to another room, and her mom was upset, and she said, "it's that girl right that's why you turned it down?" Alex quickly replied "no mom; it's because I really like being normal and soccer is my life, and you can't stop me!" As Alex went to her room and called Tobin immediately. She answered and said, "what's wrong babes?" Alex started to cry saying, "mom and my manager just came here, and I exactly want you right now." When Tobin heard her say that she replied "I'll be there fast and okay just calm down." Tobin ran out of the house and got in the car and headed straight Alex's house. She text Alex "I'm here," Alex came out and let her in. They were in Alex's bedroom, quiet and Alex was telling her what happen, Tobin held her tight and was listening to her. It got late, and they started to fall asleep.

Monday morning, the gals was in the locker room before they headed to class. Alex had news to tell them, she told them "I'm doing an interview about my normal life. I would love for some of y'all to be there too." The gals was excited and couldn't wait. Class started, and all of them was ready for practice. Class pass and lunch pass when practice came it was strong and good. This team was getting stronger together, and more colleges were coming. They were undefeated and had the top goalie, midfielder, defender and forward so yes this team had a lot on their hands. Tobin and Alex were at Tobin's grandpa house, talking, making out and trying to study. Tobin asked her "so this interview is Wednesday, and I know they are going to ask you about me. So what are you going to tell them?" Alex kissed Tobin and said, "the truth, and that I'm dating the most wonderful girl" Tobin blushed and kissed Alex's forehead and said, "aww. That's cute, let's finish this homework, and I take you home." When they finished, Tobin took her home, Alex's mom was trying to make sure that this interview was perfect, which mean the house had to spotless and clean.

Tuesday came by and ended the same way. During that night, Alex called Tobin "hey Tobs I'm nervous about tomorrow...' Tobin responded 'babe you will be fine, and I be there and the gals okay. Get some beauty sleep alright night." They hang up the phone fell asleep, the next morning. Alex manager was there and telling her "the camera crew and the host will be here after school" Alex nodded and replied "okay." School came around; the gals was ready and excited about after school. Alex was nervous and Tobin was right there not going anywhere to make sure that her girlfriend was okay. It was hitting time and practice was almost here, which means the camera crew and the host was getting close to being here.

Coach Jill came in the locker room, asked if "we were ready for practice and let's stay focus with the cameras here." The gals all replied "yes coach"  as they walked out of the locker room. Alex had to go straight to her manager and the lady, who will interview her; I watch her from afar and saw her being in her element. When we were stretching and about practice coach Jill yelled "ALEX LETS GO!" Alex ran to the gals and started to stretch; the cameras followed her, and that lady was talking. On our water break, she would talk to the gals by one, also talk to coach Jill Ellis. When practice was done, we took showers, and I knew that Alex had to go home to finish the interview with her family. After we got dressed, I didn't know how this TV stuff does. I asked her "do you have to ride with them? Or do they just put a camera in my vehicle?" Alex laughed at me said, "well something like that, but do you really want to have our car ride on tv?" I took her hand and leaned in when our lips met I whisper "why not; that's your life, and I want to be in it." Alex kissed back and giggle "really and okay let me go tell them real quick," as she walked over to the camera crew and told them. They took over my vehicle, and I had a cameraman in the back and camera on my dashboard. This car ride was awkward, but I knew how to make it fun, I was telling Alex jokes, and we were telling stories until I got to her house, we knew we weren't to kiss on the camera, so we got out and headed inside.

Inside her house, she had the lights and cameras all over her living room. The host was talking to her parents and then her sisters. When we walked in Alex manager walk towards us and said, "welcome home, and this must be Tobin," I replied 'yes and thanks," as so did Alex then leaving to change and get makeup done before her interview. Her manager was just rambling on with me, and then I heard her say, "I would like you to be in the interview after her family members are done," I stood in front of dumbfounded before I spoke I saw Alex walking towards me. "What did I miss?" She said, and I laugh and responded "they want me to be in the interview" Alex's look at me like I was joking and then said, "you are serious....my manager and my parents must set you up" I grabbed her and said, "Lex this is your life, and I'm okay doing this with you. What your world am mine too." Alex kissed me before walking to the living room and sitting down on the couch. As I watch from the side, they asked me to do a quick change, hair and makeup. Before I left I heard the lady ask, "Alex how's normal life, soccer and that kiss at the beach?" I stayed a bit longer and listen to what Alex said. She started with "going back to a public school is amazing, being normal is alright, but since I'm really not normal I still get notice. Soccer at Diamond Bar high is fun and amazing, being a striker forward and is being undefeated is great. I have the greatest teammates. That kiss at the beach was with someone's special and to be honest I'm falling in love with her too." The lady and Alex kept talking as I left and change. I thought to myself omg she just said that on TV, I know that I'm falling in love with her too but damn it was hot how she just said that in front of the camera. They went on commercial break and when I went downstairs I saw her and her family talking about how Alex life change since she came back home, soccer and surprisingly me. After her family members, it was me next, and I was nervous.

I heard my name "Tobin," I walked in and sat next to Alex. Alex said "ready," I smiled and said, "ready as I ever be." The host sat in this chair beside Alex and me, she said, "hi, Tobin right, well we all want to know how y'all meet." We both smiled, and Alex started with "well. Someone didn't pay attention and knocked me down on the floor my first day of school" as I laughed and said, "I didn't mean to, but then I had her for class, and I was late, after class she came to talk to me" Alex blushed and responded well she made me behind time for a class with her, and next we had detention together." We laughed, so did the host, and her parents did too. I responded "well; detention started it all plus soccer" she looked at me and smiled with one word coming out of her mouth "totally." As we continued telling our story, the lady asked, "so that kiss on the beach, was that planned or at this moment happen?" I stared and reply back with "it just happened, but I knew I was ready to do it" Alex blue eye was watching me, and the she smiled and said, "yeah it just happened." The host asked both of us "so is this a real relationship or just a thing going on?" We both looked at each other and in sync saying "real." As the interview was ending I got up and check my phone, I had messages from everybody that I knew. One message from my father saying, "how can you just you do that too your family? Why? That interview you are doing is just wrong!" I didn't reply to him; I was happy with whom I became and who I was with or without her, but I was falling in love so I knew what I to do this weekend after our game. They cleaned up and left her house; we all had dinner and then me, and Alex was upstairs making out and other things before I left went home. We knew that the show will air on Sunday so that was enough time to be focused for our game on Friday and still have a little of my normal life until it airs.
