Zach's POV
I walked through the lush, green jungle, letting the cool shade and the freshness of the air calm and soothe me. Yes, I was still mad about yesterday.
------ Flashback -----
"So, what'd ya guys to today while I was out?"
DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN WHAT NOW
"I... Er... Went hunting..." I said, avoiding Nya's gaze.
"Really, now? Ok, what did you end up getting?" I could hear the suspiciousness in her tone.
I hadn't caught much, but just enough to back up my claim. I handed it to Nya.
"Enough to last tomorrow, right?"
I could see her eyes darken at the mention of 'tomorrow'. I knew she hated it out here, in the wild. She was a city chick and I doubt even a lifetime out here would change that.
"Yep, that should do. Steve, did you go mining like I asked? We are seriously running out of coal."
For one instant, a flash of worry spread across Steve's face, but he soon covered it up. Nya didn't seem to notice.
"Well... I couldn't find a full mine, and besides, there were so many animals around, I just couldn't resist." Steve handed Nya more meat, mostly chicken.
Nya smiled her million dollar smile that made my heart race.
"Thanks, Steve. But seriously, we need coal bad. Charcoal will do in the meantime. Zach, tomorrow, can you go chop a couple of trees? I'm gonna find some ores, while Steve can hunt in the plains biome to the east."
I nodded. As did Steve. Nya was very practical.
"Ok, thats settled then. I'll go get some sleep, so... Night."
Nya left with a little wave, and climbed the vines up to her bed. I couldn't help but notice that she seemed to be in a rush. Once she had disappeared, I got up too.
"Well, I'm done, so see ya tomorrow." I muttered, and as I walked away to my own bed, I could feel Steve's burning gaze watching me the whole time.
------ End of Flashback ------
So, here I was, after a restless night's sleep, my blonde hair sticking up on all angles, and trekking through the woods gathering wood.
I was bored, tired, and most of all, worried about Nya.
I mean, I know she can handle herself, but I can still worry, right?
I trekked further and further through the jungle, when something caught my eye. It was a jungle temple, the mossy cobblestone standing out from the green jungle leaves.
In a matter of a few minutes, I had already explored the top two floors.
I pulled out one of the torches I brought with me (just incase), and lit up the underground part of the temple.
I travelled down the dark tunnel, placing torches as I went. To my extreme surprise, the tripwire traps had already been disconnected and dismantled (oh how I love my good karma).
But my good karma must of run out, because the chests had already been raided. Everything, gone.
Thats when I noticed the inscription in one of the cobblestone pieces.
It took me a while to read, but I nearly fainted when I read it...
It read:
Herobrine's Temple
- A tribute to the one and only ruler of Minecraft.
