Everything Happens for a Reason

part 21.

               After that day we didn't talk. So I decided that maybe it was a good thing. Brandon and I have been talking for awhile and we both realize that we may have feelings for one another. So we decided to give it a try. We dated before when we first met and ever since then we have been friends. Five years later we decided to give it a shot once more.

        Brandon and I have been dating for a week and we decide that we want to meet eachother. In the five years that we have known eachother we have never met so we decide that now would be best since we are dating. He asks me to go to church with him. So I make sure it's okay with my mom and of course she was shocked that I wanted to go.

     That Wednesday my mom, Korey, my two brothers and I pull up to his church. I'm really excited to get to see him for the first time. I text him saying that we are here.

* Hey, we are here.*

* okay I'm waiting for you at the door. *

* okay. I see you.*

     As soon as I seen him I looked at Korey.

" There he is. Here we go. "

" It will be fine."

" I know just whatever you do try and keep the conversation going. "

" Okay. "

     When we walk through the door I smile and he looks at me.

" I'm so glad that you could come. I couldn't wait to see you."

" I know me too. This is my cousin Korey and my two brothers, Justin and Kale."

" Hi how are you guys doing? I'm Brandon. Nice to meet you. "

" Nice to meet you too. " they all said.

      After we get in the church and get up with our groups. We walk around and play some games before the service starts.

      When we get told to take our seats. We all go to the very back and sit down. When we do, a band starts playing.

" They are amazing" I turn and tell Brandon

" Yeah, this isn't even the good songs"

And he was right. Their music was amazing, and after it was over everyone who was standing sit down and we all listened to the group leaders talk and after that the service was over.

     Brandon gave me a hug and said goodbye and we walked out the door. We meet my mom at the car and left. After we left I got a text message from Brandon.

* I had an amazing night. I'm so glad I got to see you.*

* Me too. I can't wait to see you again.*

* Me either. Next week can I go to your church? *

* Yeah.*

     The following week Brandon came to church with me, and that same week Shane decided that he would come to church.
    
     As soon as he got in the church van he looked back and gave Brandon the go to hell look and all I could think about was how funny it was especially seeing how his girlfriend was with him.

      When we got to church Brandon tapped on my shoulder and when I turned around he kissed me. When I looked up Shane was staring and slammed the door open and jumped out and went in the church. When I looked back at Brandon he was smiling.

"I did not see that one coming." I said with a smile.

" I just thought I would surprise you, and I guess it worked. "

" oh yeah it did. I laughed. "

     We get out of the church van and walk in the church and find a table and sit down. Brandon sits across from me cause Korey and Lexi wanted to sit by me and he didn't have a problem with that.

      Shane called Korey over and when she returned I asked her what he wanted.

" He told me to tell you that your boyfriend needed to fix his staring problem or he would fix it for him."

I looked at Brandon and he was confused, so I told him that he was my ex. And when I told Brandon that, he started making jokes like,

"His arm is bigger than my face."

"His leg is bigger than my whole body."

I told him that if he was staring to stop cause I didn't want anything to go down at church. He looked at me.

"I'm not staring. I don't even know the dude. Why would I be staring?"

The rest of the night was great. But Brandon was kind of getting too clingy. Every time I would go and do something he would always go and pull me away. When I told him that, we decided not to be together cause he wanted a girlfriend that was clingy and I couldn't be that if I didn't like it. So we decided to just be friends. 

After me and Brandon broke up we really didn't talk much. It was too weird to talk to him now. People say it's hard to turn friendship into love and they are right. I used to be able to tell him everything but now I can't. I lost my best friend.
