Everything Happens for a Reason

part 2.

When I was in last hour Shane texted me.

*Hey, you should see if I can come over and meet your parents.*

*Really?*

*Yeah, I want to meet them.*

*Okay I'll ask my mom.*

*Alright*

So I text my mom and ask her if it is okay if he comes over. She's kinda of nervous about it, but she agrees with It and let's him come over, so I text him back and tell him.

*Hey, my mom said that it's alright if you come over!*

*Really! Alright! I'll be there around six.*

*Alright, I can't wait!*

* Me either!*

As soon as I get home off the bus I run inside and try to clean as much as I can. When I get done I look at the time and it's almost six, so I call Lexi and talk to her to try and stay calm. Shane text me and says that he is almost here so I tell him the right house and when I see his car pull up,and I look at my mom and she looks at me and tells me to just be myself and everything will be fine. I walk to the door and let him in.

"Mom, this is Shane."

" Hi Shane, my name Kathy, nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too!"

" My step dad isn't here yet he'll be here in about an hour."

"Okay."

We sit there with my mom and watch a little bit of TV. We talked a bit, and Shane asked if I wanted to go outside, we stood up and I told my mom that we are going to go outside for awhile. We go out side and I take him to where we were getting a new house built. When we got done looking around we went in so he could meet my step dad.

"This is Shane."

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too."

We sit there and visit with my mom and step dad. When my little brother got home from a friend's house, I introduced them to each other, the rest of the time he was there I watched them play video games. It was kind of funny to see Shane try and show off in front of me. When it was time for him to go home we sat beside each other and we talked the whole time from my house to his. That was the moment that I decided that maybe we would last awhile.

When we drop him off at his house he says goodbye to my mom and me and tells me he will text me. When we leave my mom says that he is a good guy and that she likes him. We barely get out of the driveway and I get a text from Shane.

*I had a good time!*

* Me too! My mom really likes you!*

* That's good!*

*Yes it is! Now let's just see if my step dad likes you.*

*Yeah*

As soon as I walk through the door my step dad says he likes him, so I text him and told him that he liked him and he couldn't have been more happier.

That Wednesday I asked Shane if he wanted to go to church with me. He told me he would ask his parents and his parents said yes, so that Wednesday night he came to church with me, and after church he looked me in the eyes and asked me a question.

"Is it okay if I umm you know.... Kiss you?"

At first I was nervous about it, it took me awhile to answer and when I did I said...

"Yes!"

He smiled and tilted his head and leaned in and kissed me... At that moment my mind was racing and I froze. He leaned back and looked at me and smiled with his eyes shining. I was trying so hard not to scream and laugh in excitement! I was so happy and nothing could change that!

This is our first kiss, our first time being together for more than a week. While I was thinking about this he was sitting there staring at me. I finally came back to reality and looked at him and smiled and said.

"I'm so happy."
