Everything Happens for a Reason

part 9.

After I got home and Lexi went home I texted him and we talk almost the whole night we would have texted longer than that but I was tired from staying up late the night before. I text Shane telling him that I was going to bead cause I only got an hour of asleep. He says goodnight and that he will talk to me tomorrow. I drift off to sleep remembering the amazing day that I had.

When I wake up the next morning I have a text message from Shane. I read it and he says that he's breaking up with me again and that he had a good time with me yesterday. I text him back.

*Why are you breaking up with me now,when you could have broke up with me yesterday.*

*Cause, after you went to sleep Miley texted me so I texted her back.*

*What does that have anything to do with you breaking up with me?*

*Well we were talking and I want to go back out with her. We have a lot of history and we have some thing's to work out. *

*okay. *

*I'm sorry Hailey, I really am*

*Whatever.*

*Fine don't believe me.*

*Alright*

When I got this message all I wanted to do was get out of here. Get out of this town. I wanted to do everything I can't to get it off my mind. I decided to write a letter to explain the way I really felt about him. Hoping that maybe I had a chance to prove to him that I care more. Then I realized that even if I did it wouldn't matter anyway.

I desided that maybe it is a good idea to get out of town for awhile, so I call up Lexi and ask her if she wants to go camping with me. She asked me why, and I told her everything that happened between us, she says that it sounds like a good idea cause she could use a couple of days away as well.

I talk to my mom and she decided that we all could go, so we pack our clothes and other things and we go get Lexi and take off for a couple of days. When we get to the camp site Lexi and I decided to turn our phone's off for the whole weekend. To see if we could do it and just to spend time with the family and to get away from the drama.

We spend the whole weekend running around the camp site and swimming. We had a lot of fun and we talked about everything and how I was taking all of it and surprisingly I was doing very well for myself. The last night we were there we stayed up until midnight and as soon as the clock turned we turned on our phone's.

*Buzz,Buzz,Buzz,Buzz,Buzz.*

"I have 5 messages" My phone went off like crazy and Lexi had 4.

When my phone finally stopped going off I read all of them. I had 2 messages from Shane and the rest from some friends. I turn and look at Lexi and tell her that I have messages from him and she just looks at me with this look like I'm going to kill him when I see him and I just look at her and say.

"What? "

"Max text me. "

"Really? "

"yeah"

Max is a boy that I go to school with, Max and I dated before and then here lately he's been going after Lexi. Max started liking Lexi a couple of weeks ago, and ever since then they have been talking none stop.

"what's wrong with that? "

"he's getting on my nerves"

"well he really likes you"

"I don't like him like that"

"just wait you two will date sooner or later."

"I don't think so."

When we get home I'm relieved. I had fun, but I was glad to be home. I decided to go ahead and text Shane back.

"Hi? "

"I'm sorry I'll go. "

"What did you want? "

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

"I'm good. I'm used to it and I'll get over it. "

"I'm sorry I really am"

"don't worry about it "

"but I'm going to."

"well don't. What's done is done"

"fine. But can we be friends?"

" I don't know."

"Please I would really like it if we could be friends."

"okay"

"good"

"yeah"

It took me awhile to want to actually be friends with him again. I didn't know if I could or not, I wanted to be but then again I didn't, I hope this works out.
