Today is Jan's and Lukes wedding. She made me maid of honour.
Calum and I have actually started to take things slow. And no one still hasn't heard from Michael. It's like he has just fallen of the face of the earth.
"How do I look?" Jan turns around.
"Beautiful" I say
She was wearing one of the prettiest wedding dresses I've seen. I start to cry.
"You know I'm the one who is meant to cry right?" She laughs.
"Your dress looks like my mums" I try and smile.
"Aww come here" she hugs me.
"Are you ready to do this?" I ask her while I wipe my tears.
"I've always been ready" Jan laughs.
I hold Jan's hand has I walk her out to her father. I walk down the isle to see Calum smiling at me.
The rest of the ceremony went pretty fast only because the whole time I was making funny faces at Calum.
I'm so happy for Jan and Luke. They really deserve everything together.
I arrived at the dinner. And it was my time to say the speech.
"Uh- excuse me I'd like to make a speech" I get up "Luke and Jan, I've never seen two people happier with each other than you two. You make everyone believe in love again. And that's why-" I pause.
There he was. Standing there. Michael was in the room. I freeze. I can see Calum's jaw clench from the side of my eyes.
"Jess" Jan nudges me
"And that's why I want to give a toast to Mr and Mrs Hemmings, congrats guys" I finish and sit back down.
"What is he doing here?" I whisper to Jan.
"Luke must of invited him" she whisper back.
I can see him coming my way so I look down.
"He's can we talk?" Michael bends over me.
"There's nothing to talk about Michael" I push him away.
"I still love you"
"You broke me beyond repair"
"Just tell me that you don't love me anymore and I'll leave"
If I said that I didn't love him still I would be lying.
"Uh Michael- she's mine now" Cal butts in.
"What?" Michael yells "for how long?"
"Well like 3 weeks after you broke up" Cal takes my hand.
"Are you fucking kidding me Jess? Is that your plan to fuck everyone?" Michael yells at me.
"Are you kidding Michael? You cheated on me! Okay I'm not the slut here. So stop making a scene and just leave Michael" I break into tears.
"Let's get out of here" Cal picks me up and walks past Michael.
"I'm sorry Jan, have fun on your honeymoon" I wave.
Cal put me into his car.
"He's just so selfish, I'm sorry Cal" I look at him.
"It's okay, I understand Jess" He smiles at me.
"I can't believe I've ruined your friendship with him"
"He's ruined it himself Jess. Stop blaming yourself for everything"
"But that's what I do! I blame myself because i'd hate anyone else to feel how I'm feeling. No deserved my pain bar me. No one needs so be broken like me."
"You don't deserve the pain either, I'm here to fix you Jess. Don't be the one to break again, things will get better. I promise"
"You better not be the type to break promises"
