Today is the day Luke and Jan come back from their honeymoon. It's also the day i tell them that Cal and I are official.
Calum and I have been waiting at the airport for a while. Their flight was delayed by half an hour. And we are so bored.
"We should go somewhere together one day Jess" he leans on my shoulder.
"Yeah, maybe" I lean on his head.
"Why don't you seem so enthusiastic about it?"
"I guess I'm just scared that-"
"I'm not Michael Jess"
"Guys!" Jan runs and hugs us.
"Hey, how was it?" I ask.
"It was pretty good" Luke laughs "I see you two are pretty close now uh?"
"Yeah, we're serious" Cal laughs.
"Can we talk when we get home, I'm so jet lagged" Jan complains.
We all hop into Cals car and drive home.
Jan slept the whole way and Luke was telling Calum about the food he ate.
"Jan, you're home"I nudge her.
"Yeah I'm up!" She shots up.
I walk her into her room while Luke and Cal grab the bags.
"So you and Calum?" She lays on her bed.
"Yeah, is it bad?" I ask her
"No, as long as you feel it's okay. Do you?"
"I honestly don't know. There's times where I feel like I've ruined Michaels life, I mean I took away his friends. He ran away because of me. But then there's times where I think he deserves everything he gets. I don't get why it got so hard so quickly. My relationship with him, now that I look back on it kinda seems like a lie. It's still hard to let go of him but yet I feel like I have because I honestly really like Calum but I can't help to feel guilty" I look over to Jan, who was now sleeping.
I can't blame her.
I walk down stairs to sit with Calum and Luke.
"It's good to see you happy Jess" Luke smiles.
"It feels good to be happy Luke" I walk over and sit on Cals lap.
"So tell me about your honeymoon Luke" I smile at him
"It was good" he say sounding a bit off.
"You don't seem to thrilled about it"
"Nah I am. It's just-"
"It's just what?"
"It feels different between us now, every time I'd go to kiss her she'd get this look in her eye of like disgust. I feel like she doesn't love me anymore" he starts to tear up.
"Look I'm sure it's nothing, it's a big thing to get married. Give her some time" I hug him.
"Okay now that you two have had your girl talk, can we go Jess?" Cal pulls me back.
"Uh why, I thought we never had plans?" I laugh.
"Well I made some"
"Are we going on another date?"
"Okay leave now. I don't want you here" Luke laughs.
As we do and hop into Cals car.
"So where are we going?" I ask. "I feel we are moving a bit to fast with hanging out to much"
"No it's not like that. Look I just really want this to work for both of our sakes. So please just let me try"
"Okay, sorry" I smile at him.
"Okay so let's go then" he starts the car.
