"Alden, when will you learn? You always keep doing the same damn things. Bar fights, going home late and drunk ... bringing girls here every single night. When will you move on from Vanessa?" Alden's Dad asked the visibly upset young guy while the two are in the kitchen.
"When will you start being a father?" Alden snapped back. This took his father by surprise and quickly looked at him.
"Son, I've done nothing but keep this family together. Yes I may have taken you for granted for a lot of times but that's because I'm working for us. You? what do you do? when will you start being a good son?" his father replied. Alden just kept on glaring at him. He wasn't sad anymore, he's mad. He is mad that until now his parents still don't understand that the constant pressure they put on him was the main reason why he and Vanessa broke up. She couldn't handle being with someone who always has their parents behind him.
"I can't believe you, I'm done." Alden answered before walking out of the kitchen.
"Fine! Do what you want. I don't care about you anymore!" his father yelled but he just ignored it. The minute he got back into his room, he changed his clothes, put on his shoes and went out again.
"Where are you going?" this time it's his mother who's asking the question.
"Out. Dad doesn't wanna see me around here anyway." he replied before letting out a grunt. Alden made it sure that it was strong enough for his father to hear it.
"Honey you know that's not true."
"No Mom. Heck, even you ... you know that what he says is true. Why am I even born here?" Alden uttered, he then grabbed his keys and then started walking towards the front door. The tall white-as-a-snow guy then got onto his car and drove away.
Alden went to his usual place, the Wright Park located just at the center of the town. This is the place where he felt the happiest as a kid. This is also the place where he met that special girl, the first person who ever showed him that life is beautiful.
But what was her name again? Mary? May? Alden couldn't remember anymore what exactly happened. All he knows is that it's the happiest day of his life. And up to this day, he still wonders where she could be.
The young guy looked around in hopes that someone would recognize him, he hopes that someone would realize that he's the kid that used to hang out here before, Then maybe, they could lead him to the girl he's been searching for.
"Why do you have such a shitty life?" he asked himself and just closed his eyes for a while. He knows there are people who will kill to be with him but he doesn't care, if he can erase his existence right at that instance he knows he would.

Maine and her best friend Hannah are walking alongside the park after their usual session of jogging. "Don't tell me you're still looking for him?" Hannah asked Maine who has her eyes fixed on that tall oak tree where she and that young kid used to play before.
"I guess I am." Maine replied before giving her a hopeful smile.
"It's been what? More than 10 years, you don't even know if he's still alive."
"That's what makes it exciting. I want to meet him again."
Deep inside, Maine's been dying to see him again. For some reason, that one single day she spent with him had made an everlasting mark in her heart and brain. The only thing is, she doesn't remember his name anymore. All she remembers is that wonderful feeling she felt when she's with him.
"Look at that guy he's so cute."
"Where?" Maine asked.
Her best friend then pointed at the tall young guy who fell asleep under the oak tree. Maine looked at him and felt something weird, like she's known him from before.
"He looks familiar." Maine said before the idea of him being the kid crossed her mind. She likes to hope but hates it whenever the disappointment comes.
"Of course he looks familiar. He's my future boyfriend." Hannah joked and so Maine just looked at her as if she's from another planet.
"Just kidding. Come on, we still have a show to watch." she then told Maine. The young girl glanced at the sleeping guy for once last time before she followed Hannah.
---
As soon as Alden woke up from his accidental nap, he looked at his watch and realized he had slept there for about two hours. Realizing that people are now looking at him, he decided to stand up and make his way out as soon as possible.
"If only you were here..." he thought to himself, pertaining to that girl.
"If only you were here .... I'm pretty sure you'll make me the happiest guy in the world."
