Chaotic is the only word that would perfectly fit the description of what happened over the next couple of days. Their kissing picture blew up and they are now basically the talk of the town.

But much to her surprise, none of her family members have seen it yet. And because of that, Maine already made a promise to herself that she will not let them see it.

"I'm leaving!" the young girl yelled before she started walking towards the front door.

"Wait!" her father yelled/

"What?" she asked.

"Tomorrow, you and your siblings will have a driver okay?"

"A driver?"

"Yeah." Mr. Mendoza replied and then smiled at his daughter.

Maine just nodded and quickly made her exit. She decided to worry about the driver situation later.

"Hey where are you?" she asked Alden through the phone.

 "I'll be there in 5 ...4 ....3 ... 2 ..."

The young girl looked and saw Alden's car coming. As soon as it stopped right in front of her, he rolled down the windows and told her to get in.

Maine quickly hopped in and they drove towards the school. She shifted her face to the side and saw Alden's sleepy but cute face.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Alden asked her, causing the young girl to snap back to reality.

"What? I'm not looking at you." she replied.

"Yes you are."

"I'm not."

"Yes you are Maine .. why are you blushing?" Alden he teased. Maine rolled her eyes but it was too late. She already got captured by his charm.

"Fine .. I am looking at you so what? You have a booger anyway." she replied and so Alden in return quickly looked at the mirror to check his nose. And when he can't find any booger, he immediately turned back to Maine.

"I don't have a booger."

"Really? You must have sniffed it in."

"Just admit it Maine." Alden uttered before smiling at her.

"Admit what?"

"That you like looking at me."

 "You're dreaming."

"I'm not ... just admit it."

"No." the young girl answered and smiled secretly.

It took them half an hour to reach the campus. After pulling up on the parking lot, Alden got out and ran towards Maine's side of the car.

"No people waiting for us huh? This is a surprise." Maine uttered and then pointed at the entrance of the building.

"And that's a good thing. They finally got tired." he replied and smiled at her. Deep inside, Alden's feelings have started to send him different signals about his whole plan. He's starting to like this more than he should.

"Dude!" a familiar voice called out. The young guy looked to their side and saw Andrew along with Vanessa walking towards them.

"Hey man." he greeted his best friend.

"Hello Alden!" Vanessa then greeted the young guy. Alden smiled and greeted her back.

"Good Morning Maine, you look lovely today." she then turned to the young girl.

"Thanks." Maine replied awkwardly. The four of them endured about a minute of silence before Andrew suggested that they should start walking to class.

"See you guys around!" Alden told the Thompson siblings after pulling Maine to the opposite direction.

"I think she knows." Maine whispered before they got to the hallway.

"Knows what?"

"About us."

"She doesn't. If she does then she would have already confronted me about it."

"You think so?"

"I know so." Alden assured.

"So Alden..."

"What?"

"What's gonna be your costume?"

 "A Ken doll"

 "Seriously?"

 "Yes."

"You're messing with me again?" Maine asked.

"I'm not. You're my Barbie."

"What?" he heard Maine ask and then she froze. The young guy's heart skipped a beat and turned to his friend once again.

"Just kidding." he uttered and then pinched her nose, causing her to let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank God." she then whispered.

"But Maine..."

"Nope, not gonna be your Barbie." the young girl replied, reiterating her stand.

"I can give you a nice dress."

"I have lots of nice dresses."

"Please?" Alden asked and saw the young girl stop on her track. She then turned around and asked him to repeat the word he just said.

"Dress?"

"No ... after that."

 "Please?"

 "Say it louder."

"Please!" he almost yelled. To be honest, he can't figure out a good costume. All he has in his closet are a set of suits and tux. Alden just watched Maine smile and quickly assumed that she's gonna help him.

"So are you gonna be my Barbie?" the young guy asked.

"No." Maine answered and walked away from him.

"Oh Come on!" Alden yelled and ran after her. As soon as the young guy caught up to Maine, she screamed at the top of her lungs. He lifted her off her feet and then started running up the stairs. "Put me down!" that's all she kept telling him.

"Not until you agree on being my partner!"

"Do you really have to have a partner?"

 "Yes!!"

"Fine fine! I will!" Maine replied and so he stopped. Alden looked straight to the young girl's eyes before he placed her down.

It took Alden forever to realize that there are students around them. He looked around and started getting nervous.

"Crap ... here we go again." he whispered and then looked at a blushing Maine.

"This is all your fault Alden." she answered before pinching his leg.
