"Where did you go yesterday?" Alden asked Matthew after he gave his brother a plate filled ith pancakes. It's 4:00 am and since both of them can't sleep, they decided to have breakfast already.

"I was looking around town. Trying to familiarize myself."

"You didn't get lost?"

"The driver is right behind me." he said and smiled at Alden.

"Alright ... did you find anything you like?"

"Anything? ... nah ... but anyone? yeah." Matthew replied and gave his brother a smirk.

"Tell me all about it." Alden answered and sat beside his brother. He gave Matthew a pat on the back for already finding someone to pursue.

"Before you say anything ... let me just make it clear, I'm not interested in making any sprt of relationship. I just find her cute.

 "You two talked?" Alden asked. 

 "Obviously."

"You're in love." he teased and Matthew grunted.

"I'm not in love, Alden."

"That's good ... wait Matthew ... tell me .... are you still a virgin?"

 "Why the fuck do you want to know?" Matthew asked right away. Alden's brother then stood up and reached for the maple syrup on the countertop.

 "I just wanna know ... just so I can assess how you're gonna live here."

 "You're worried I'll be bringing some girl home every single night."

 "Yeah ... I don't want you to do what I did before." Alden answered, trying his best to be a responsible brother.

"You did that? Dude how trashy ..."

"I know ... so are you?"

"Fine if you insist ... I'm not a virgin ... but that doesn't mean I'll be bringing girls here. I respect our house a lot more than you." Matthew answered and Alden just laughed.

"Allison ... do you always wake up this early?" Maine asked after finding her cousing talking to someone on the phone.

"I have to." she said. Maine just shrugged and went to the kitchen so she could drink a glass of water.

"Do you want breakfast?" Allison then asked her. 

"Are you gonna cook?"

"Yeah."

"You sure?

"How are you now?" her cousin asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Me? I'm good." she said and smiled at her cousin.

 "Are you sure?"

 "Yes Allison I am ... actually, a little better than usual." Maine said and whipped her hair to the side. The young girl spent the past few days being stressed. She now reached the point of not caring at all.

"Why?"

"I don't know ... and I don't want to find out. I'm happy, that's what matters."

Alden reached the campus at around 7:00 am. He quickly spotted Maine standing alone in the hallway and so he decided to approach her.

"Hey." he greeted.

"Ugh, what do you want?" Maine asked and started walking away from him. Alden's heart started beating fast but still tried his best to catch up with her.

"Well, I wanna know if you're okay."

"I am, you can now go." she replied without even looking at him. He grabbed her hand, causing her to turn around.

"Let me go." she said.

"No I won't. Talk to me please."

"Alden, how many times do I have to tell you this? I can't deal with you and your hangups. I'm not gonna wait on someone who can't let go of his massive emotional baggage." she said. His vision went dark right at that moment and zeroed in on Maine.

Without saying a word, he pulled her face close to him and their lips met. That familiar tingling feeling travelled his body. Fireworks went off in the distance. Sparks flew everywhere and it is now just the two of them alone. A;den wants her, he wants her so bad.

But suddenly, Maine pulled away. He looked at her wide eyes and saw nothing but shock.

"Sorry ... my lips got excited."

Matthew decided to go to the mall so he can buy a new pair of shoes. After he was able to purchase a few pairs, he ordered his driver to go home already because he wants to see the town alone.

While walking around, he noticed a familiar face sitting inside a coffee shop. Matthew's heart started beating fast. He can't believe that out of all the places they could see each other again, it happened here.

The young Faulkerson ran inside the coffee shop and tapped her shoulder. The young girl turned around and quickly smiled.

"Matthew?"

" ... Allison?"

Maine's heart started beating fast. She looked around and saw tons of various eyes staring at them.

She afced Alden  with her cheeks blushing. That kiss revived something inside of her. He made her feel that same old love again.

"Don't you ever do that again." she said.

"Then why are you blushing?"

"Ugh!" she grunted and walked away.
