Realizing that something happened between her and Vanessa, Alden demanded to know the truth. And so he told Maine that they're not going to leave until she tells him what happened.
"I just wanna go home." she whispered..
He grunted and told her to sit on a chair so he can check her ankle. Maine did what Alden asked her to do.
"Does it hurt?" Alden asked, pressing her ankle lightly.
"A bit, but I'm gonna be fine. Let's go home please." Maine begged.
"We're not gonna go home until I find out what happened."
"I just didn't see the damn drawer. It's my fault, not anyone else's." he heard Maine answer. But Alden couldn't believe eh story. He wanted to but he just can't.
"Wait here." the young guy told her before he ran upstairs.
"What did you do to her?!" Alden asked in a very loud manner.
"Dude, chill ... she said it's just an accident." Andrew said, going right in between them.
"I don't believe you." Alden replied and almost pushed his bets friend aside. Alden's furious, he promised himself that Maine will not get hurt and now she did, it made him feel bad.
"Girls ... Andrew ... please leave us alone for a minute." she uttered and so they left. After they're gone, he once again asked her what happened.
"I don't know ... she just went down for a drink and then went back here upset. You know I was thinking, maybe she heard something from you guys."
"Stop lying."
"What?" Vanessa asked.
"I know when you're lying. Now please Vanessa, let's not waste any more time in here ... tell me what you did to her."
"Fine ... she heard us talking about her." Vanessa replied, rolling her eyes.
"You're talking about her? That is so immature."
"I'm sorry but come on let's be honest, she's not your type."
"What do you mean?"
"Well ... she's ... ordinary."
"Shame on you." Alden answered and saw her shocked reaction.
"What the hell did you say?" she asked.
"You don't have the right to judge anyone you don't know ... you know what Vanessa? you're beautiful and I'm pretty sure any guy would be lucky to have you ... I sure did feel that when you were in my arms. But thing is, the old you has started to fade. I don't think I recognize this girl anymore." he uttered before walking out.

Maine felt helpless during the entire situation. She wanted to fight back but something about the words they said hit a little to close to him. And because of that, she ended up in a chair with a bad ankle.
A few moments later, Alden showed up and approached her.
"How's your feet?" he asked.
"I must have hit it so bad because it still hurts a bit .. but I can walk." the young girl replied. Maine then stood up, only to feel a sharp pain from the area.
"Dude I'm really sorry, we have to go." the young guy then told Andrew and his friends.
"Alright." his friends answered and smiled at him.
