Maine's heart is going wild. She doesn't know what she'll say to her Dad who is still eagerly waiting for her answer.

"Just a friend." she finally managed to reply.

"You don't have a boyfriend do you?" he asked.

"No." she replied before quickly running up to her room.

As soon as she got in, Maine let out a sigh of relief. Her heart is still pounding though, she knows that from now on, her father will be all up on her business. Later that night, she received a call from Alden saying his parents wants to meet her.

"Are you serious? oh my God, I'm out." Maine replied right away.

"This is a part of your job." he replied, reminding her of her responsibilities. Suddenly, the conditions she's been thinking of the whole day came back to her mind.

"Fine, I will. But I have conditions."

"Okay, you can tell them tomorrow." he said

"Why not now?"

"I need you to sleep, dummy. You should be beautiful tomorrow." Aldenreplied and then ended the call.

Maine just closed her eyes and prayed to God that she's doing the right thing. The young girl knows that by continuing this, she might lose her friends. But if it's for her family's sake, then she's afraid she might have to do so.

The morning after,  Alden woke up early in hopes of being able to have breakfast with his parents. As much as he hates them, he kind of misses the feeling of having them around the table while he's eating. It soothes his loneliness.

He got up and went downstairs wearing nothing but his boxers. He looked around but the entire first floor of their house is empty. The smile on his face faded when he realized that they might have already left.

Disappointed, he just walked back to his room and started getting dressed for school. Alden let out a sigh, he knows that the house that he's in doesn't feel like a home at all.

Maine's morning got easily disturbed by her Mom's loud voice. She opened the door and asked what she wants.

"Mom, seriously ... this door is very thin no need to freaking shout."

"I'm sorry sweetie, but someone's downstairs looking for you."

"Really ... who?"

"I don't know but he's extremely cute."

Curious, Maine walked out and looked ta the first floor. There he saw Alden sitting on the couch and looking at her. After she saw his grin, Maine just realized she made a crucial mistake. She's not wearing any pants, she's basically letting him see her pink underwear. Embarrassed, she ran back to her room and slammed the door shut.

"What were you thinking?" Maine asked herself. After spending at least 5 minutes having a mental debate while pacing back and forth inside her room, she finally managed to put on her pants.

The young girl then took a deep breath and stepped out once again. Maine made her way downstairs and sat next to him.

"What are you doing here?" she asked before noticing that Alden is looking at her Mom.

"Oh shit ... Mom sorry, this is Alden ... just a friend ... not a boyfriend ... yeah." she uttered awkwardly.

"Good Morning, Mrs. Mendoza" Alden greeted, showing his cute dimples.
