"You are so dead." Maine thought to herself after realizing what she did to Vanessa. Instead of walking away and being the better person, she added fuel to the fire. She officially started a war.
"You called her a bitch? Wow." Hannah said. Maine continued to fidget in her seat. They're waiting for Alden to finish his rehearsal so she can tell him what happened and to also ask him where her Barbie costume is.
Deep inside, Maine already knew that their deal's been ruined. And that she ruined it. She fell for him, she fell for him hard.
"I didn't mean to. She was taunting me." Maine answered.
"So what are you gonna do? Are you going to tell Alden about it?" Hannah asked.
"I don't know. Do you think he'll kill me?"
"Nope. I think he likes you too."
"Hannah! Focus!" Maine yelled but she blushed anyway.
Suddenly, her phone started ringing. She picked it up and saw Alden's name on the screen. The young girl took a deep breath before answering his call.
"Hello?" Maine asked.
"Where are you?"
"Home, why?"
"I thought you're gonna watch me practice?" Alden asked.
"I ... I had to do something." Maine replied while trying to think of a better reason.
"Fine. But make sure you'll be here tomorrow for the final practice alright?"
"Alright." Maine replied and then smiled a bit. Maine thought she's getting off the hook, but she's wrong.
"Oh wait." Alden then told her.
"What?" the young girl asked, suddenly getting nervous.
"Where were you again?"
"Home ... why?"
"Great. I'll be there."
"What?" Maine asked, already freaking out.
"I'll go there right now."
"Why?"
"To say thank you."
"For what?"
"For everything ... alright I'll be there in a bit bye!" those were Alden's last words before the call ended.
"What did he say?" Hannah then asked Maine.
"He said he's gonna come here."

Alden never felt this positive in a long time. Everything he went through, everything he did came back with a good result. Life is finally back on his side.
After an hour of driving, Alden finally reached Maine's place. There she saw her and Hannah standing outside and waiting for him.
"You look happy." the young girl uttered as soon as he got close to her.
"That's because I am." he replied and even smiled brighter.
"So why are you here?" Maine asked.
"I wanna say thanks for everything."
"Why are you saying thanks?" Maine asked again in an impatient tone.
"Stop asking everything I do and just accept my gratitude will ya?" Alden answered, making her giggle a bit.
"Fine. Gratitude accepted." she replied, followed by a smile. A sudden urge to hug her then flowed inside Alden's body. And without even realizing what he's actually doing, he already pulled Maine towards him and hugged her as tight as he could.

"Oxygen please." the young girl thought to herself while she's in his arms. The warmth of his hug made her wish that they're a real couple.
Their moment was then destroyed by a passing car. Both Maine and Alden were caught off guard that's why as soon as it's out of sight, they started laughing at each other.
The young girl was about to tell him everything that happened including the Vanessa situation. She took a deep breath but was then rudely interrupted by the sound of another incoming car. This time, the vehicle pulled up right in front of them and a very familiar face stepped out.
"Jake?"

"I know you don't like me but I'm pretty sure you don't like Maine either." Vanessa told Mrs. Richards.
"How did you know Vanessa?"
"Come on Auntie, I know you very well. You know ... the thing is, I don't like her either."
"She doesn't deserve my son." Alden's mother replied.
"I have a plan." Vanessa then told her.
"What kind of plan?"
"The kind of plan that would keep Alden and Maine apart for a very long time."
