JACK'S POV:

I checked the time on my wrist watch and sighed heavily. Time to go check on the kids that I know aren't in their rooms. I thought to myself, forcing myself off of the comfortable couch and to the bottom of the stairs.

I walked up slowly, not wanting to do this at all. I knocked once on Luke's door. No response. I opened it and looked around. Yup no Luke.

"Just checking to makes sure you're here." I said, feeling stupid for talking to myself. I flicked a glance at the camera, hoping my little skit was real enough for it. I closed his door and turned to Sheila's door. I knocked then threw it open.

At that exact same time, Luke and Sheila rolled through her bed room window. My eyes widened at them and they both looked at me like kangaroo in headlights. "Hi Sheila, just making sure you're in your room." I smiled at them, trying my best not to laugh. I closed her door, shaking my head. Crazy kids.

LUKE'S POV:

I helped her up onto the roof and then heaved myself up. We hinged her window open and both began slipping inside when the sound of knocking on her door startled us and we fell onto the floor. Jack poked his head in, eyes wide. He did his 'i'm checking on the kids like a good babysitter' performance then shut the door.

We both laughed loudly. She scooted over and laid in my arms on the floor. "Tonight was..." Her voice trailed off.

"Great." I said.

"Wonderful." Sheila added.

"Perfect." We both said at the same time. We looked at each other happily.

"I gotta go princess." I said, kissing her forehead and helping her to her feet. She frowned.

"Can't you stay until morning?" She pleaded, tugging on my flannel. I moved her hands away carefully.

"That's not a good idea." I smiled weakly, knowing how much self control i lacked. She nodded slowly, biting her lip. I swallowed heavily, looking at everything but her lips. The walls felt like they were closing in on me, a tremendous pressure building in the room.

"I have to go." I repeated, stepping away from her trying to breathe. Her eyes were begging me. Begging me to stay. Begging me to...

"Please.." She whimpered, pinching the edges of my shirt and pulling me towards her.

I cleared my throat loudly. "Sheila." I said firmly, moving her hands away from me again. "Tonight was great, I don't want to ruin it."

"You won't ruin it?" She said confusedly.

"I won't be able to stop myself." I admitted, casting her a sideways glance.

"That's okay." She shrugged. She seemed beside herself... like a different person. I shook my head. I didn't like this Sheila.

"Goodnight Sheila." I said, turning to the window.

"Luke wait." She said, reaching out to me. I moved out of her way and hopped onto the roof.

"Thanks for tonight." I said before closing her window and slipping into the darkness around the house to my window. I clambered through my window and sprawled out on my bed. A rotten feeling was growing in my stomach. Sheila seemed so touchy and needy and yeah of course i wanted everything she did...

But no. It wasn't that it was too soon. It was that... well I'd never done anything like that. I don't know if she had. And that made me realize Sheila was still just a stranger. A strange beautiful girl that was causing me so many problems.

I needed a guys day out.
