When he notices you

You were sitting on a bench, it was your bench. You pushed your glasses on your nose again as you stuck your tongue out and started drawing again. You loved painting, sketching and these kinds of things. You were a creative person, quiet, sequestered, a loner. And drawing made you forget that you didn't belong anywhere. Your school books were lying next to you because you knew that no one was going to sit on that place anyway.

Your eyes scanned the park. There was no one here since it was getting late, but you loved to watch the sunset here. You were lost in thoughts, thinking about the test you had tomorrow, maybe you should study a little. You jumped as you heard someone clear his throat beside you. You looked up and stared at the boy through your big glasses. He gave you a friendly smile which made his eyes close a little.

"May I sit here?" He asked and waited for you to take your books away. You stared at him in wonder, no one had ever asked you something like that before. Slowly you nodded before you picked up your stuff so he could take place. As you pulled your books on your legs your other papers fell onto the ground, spread all over the place. "Shit." You muttered softly as you kneeled down to grab them. You were surprised when you saw that the guy crouched too and helped you. He was looking at one of your papers as he wanted to hand them to you.

"Whaa, your drawings are really pretty." He said as he gave them back to you. "Thanks." You blushed and smiled. You sat on the bench again and an awkward silence surrounded you two. You kicked you feet from back to front as you stared ahead. "I'm Baekhyun, by the way." He said all of a sudden. "I'm _________." He bowed slightly and you returned it. Then it was quiet again. "You come here more often?" You looked up at him as you heard his smooth voice again. "Yeah, a lot actually. You?" He shook his head and sighed. "No, I'm always busy. But I noticed this place a couple weeks ago and told myself I had to come here once, and well, here I am." He sent you a cheesy smile and you quickly turned your head before he would see you blush.

"I-I think I should go, it's getting late." You said as you gathered your stuff and stood up. "Shall I walk with you, it's dangerous for a girl like you to be out this late on your own." You face him and frowned. "What do you mean with a girl like me?" Suddenly his face turned totally red and you had to do your best not to smile. "N-nothing...I just....you're pretty." He blurted out as he scratched the back of his head. "Are you trying to flirt with me?" You held your head slantwise and he grinned. "Maybe..." You giggled as you rocked yourself forewarth and backwards on your feet.

"Well, that's strange." You confessed and he gave you a weird look. "And why is that?" he stepped closer to you, crossing a little of the distance between the two of you. "Since normally nobody even notices me. I'm kind of...a nerd." You said and you shrugged. He smirked as he took your glasses off your nose and pulled your books out of your hands. "Not anymore." He chuckled and you pouted. "Okay but now I can't see anything." You reminded him. "True, but you don't have to see anything. Just listen."

"Okaaay...?" You arched an eyebrow but waited for him to start talking. "I've noticed you before." Your eyes widened as he started with that sentence. "You're always sitting here, drawing. And I'm always watching you from there." He pointed to a big tree at the other side of the park. "I found you very cute and yeah, I was scared to make a move at first but... now I'm here." Your mouth hung open and you blinked. By this time you thought it was sad that you coulnd't see his face right now. "Well, since you have my glasses and won't give it back to me maybe you should walk me home. I would bump into everything anyway so I think I need someone to lead me." You smiled to him and he chuckled.

He gave you your stuff back and you sighed in relief as your sight returned. "Better." You muttered and stiffened when you felt your hand being grabbed. "It looked cold, so I wanted to warm it up for you." Baekhyun said and you smiled. "Okay, this feels quite well." You giggled and you started walking to your apartment. Unbelieveble how you even found a guy who liked you without doing any effort for it. Baekhyun talked all the way until you got home, held you company while sometimes also listening to your words. After this you guys decided to go on a date and his request followed not much later after that. By now Byun Baekhyun was the best boyfriend you could ever imagine.
