When you hurt yourself

You were sitting on the closed toilet, cheeks still wet from all the tears that had been rolling down for hours, but now you ran out of them. You were tired, no exhausted and your emotions were all over the place. You were feeling so depressed, so lonely, so meaningless. Everybody was letting you down and you just felt like nobody wanted you anymore, like no one cared about you. Everything that was going on was just to much for you to handle right now.

Your eyes darted around the room and landed on a a little knife which was lying on the sink and your eyes were glued onto it. You had never thought of hurting yourself before, but would it be bad to try it? You turned your mind off as you stood up and grabbed the knife with one hand and slid your finger over it just to feel how sharp it was, would it be painful? Well if you didn't try you didn't know right? You stared at the sharp object and bit your lip, were you going to do it or not?

You brought it to your wrist and closed your eyes, breathing in slowly and counting to three inside of your head. You gasped and dropped the knife on the floor, staring at yourself in pure shock. You couldn't believe what you had just done, it made you feel disgusted...of yourself. You stared at the little red drops of blood which were dripping onto the floor, covering the tiles. This was not what you had meant to do, but it had been stronger than yourself.

You couldn't even react when suddenly the door flew open and a voice sounded into your ears. "Jagiyaaaa...I'm home!" Baekhyun yelled cheerfully but he catched for air as he laid his eyes on you, seeing you staring down on your bleeding wrist. His eyes filled with disgusted as he saw what you had done to yourself and he dropped his bags in the middle of the doorway before rushing over to you. "_______..." He muttered in shock as he grabbed your wist slightly, trying not to hurt you even more. "Why?" He asked as he put his other hand under your chin and lifted your head so you had to look him in the eye.

Finally the tears came out again and you shook your head. "I don't know." You whispered and sobbed while he stood in front of you, completely off the map. Then he shook his head and took a towel before wrapping it around your damaged wrist. Luckely for you the scratch you had made wasn't that deep so it would heal from itself. He cupped your cheeks with his hands and wiped your tears away with his thumps, still not sure of how to react on this. He was just feeling so sad right now, he had never thought that you felt so bad that you would ever do something like this to yourself.

Then he let out a trembling sigh and pulled you into his arms, finally breaking the distance between the two of you. "Next time please don't do this anymore and talk to me okay?" He said with an shuddering voice and you wrapped your arms around his middle, holding his firmly. "I'm always here for you if you need me to be baby, you never have to face anything alone. Please just talk to me and then we'll solve it together okay?" He said and pulled back to brush your hair out of your face with his hands. "I'm your boyfriend _______-ah, I love you. Do you have any idea what it does to me to find you like this when I get home?" He asked and held up your wrist, his voice cracking in the middle of his sentence.

"I'm sorry." You whispered and he gave you a little smile. "It's all okay now, but please don't do this to yourself again." The tears were visable in his eyes from the pain he was feeling but he pushed them back. You needed him right now so it wasn't his turn to cry. He picked up the knife from the floor and threw it into the bin. "We won't need that anymore, ever." He said severe before he grabbed your hand and pulled you out of the bathroom.

The rest of the evening Baekhyun listened to you and he let you cry it all out. He also treated your wound and overloaded you with compliments and he told you many reasons why you should never hurt yourself anymore. When it was all off your shoulders you were feeling much better and now you knew what you had to do next time when you were feeling down, call your boyfriend, and then everything would be alright.
