When you don't like his job

"Aaww, not that harsh baby." He wailed while you treated his wound. You didn't anwser him, still angry. It was difficult to be angry at him because of this but more than mad you were feeling sad and scared. Sad because he always got hurt and when he was you were too. Scared because you were afraid that one day it wouldn't end with just a couple wounds and bruises and that he wouldn't make it out of that ring alive.

Yes, your boyfriend was Byun Baekhyun and he had a weird job, one you didn't prefer. But when you really loved someone you didn't care about the work he did. And although you had started to accept that he was a boxer you still didn't like the fact that he would alway get beaten up. You had gone to look at his game a couple of times but it was just something you couldn't watch. Seeing how your boyfriend received kicks and punches was not something you prefered so you stayed home most of the times. He loved it when you came but also understood that you didn't want to come.

He pouted as he looked at your angry expression and wrapped his arms around your waist. "Are you mad at me?" You looked into his eyes and sighed when you saw his cute face. How could a guy be this dangerous and creepy in the ring and be so sweet and innocent at home? It was like he was two total different persons and lived in two worlds. "No, I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at the bastard who did this to you." You pointed to the cut above his eye and his blue, swollen cheek. His wounds scared you and he knew it, that's why he always tried to hide them for you most of the time, but today that hadn't worked.

You shook your head and pulled his hands away from you. This was not something you wanted to discuss again. You raised from the couch and left Baekhyun alone on it, his sad gaze following your figure as you walked to the kitchen to get rid of the first aid kit. You didn't want him to put his life in danger. You didn't want him to get beaten everyday to earn his money. You sighed and tiptoed in the hope you could reach the highest shelf to put the box away. You stiffened a little when you felt a chest against your back and an arm around your waist as you saw how a hand took the box from you and placed it away with ease.

"I could have done it." You protested and frowned at your boyfriend who stood behind you. "I know, but you were looking like you needed some help." His warm smile warmed your heart once again and you felt all your power slipping out of your hands. "I'm sorry." He whispered and caressed your cheeks with his thumbs. You tried to look at everything but at him and he chuckled softly. "I'll try to win next time." You pushed his hands away when he said that and placed yours on your hips. "You don't even understand!" You growled in frustration and his eyebrows shot up. "I don't?" He asked innocently and waited for you to continue.

"No! I don't give a fucking damn or you win that game or not! The only thing that I care about is that you always get into that hell and let yourself get beated! And for what? For money and bruises?! I hate seeing you getting home like this every fucking night, whining because you're hurt! Do you know what it does to a woman when she sees the man she loves looking like this?!"

You mentioned his face again what made him close his mouth which he had opened to protest against you. "I hate it Baekhyun! And it kills me to see you in pain! Do you know how scared I am every morning that you might never come back at night?! That I have to come and look for you in a hospital?! Don't you ever think about how I feel about this?! Fuck it Baekhyun!"

Tears were pricking in your eyes but you pushed them back. You knew he found it weak when you cried and he always said that you were ugly if you did. Only this time he seemed to think differently about that. In your eyes he saw all your crept up feelings, the ones you had been holding inside because you had been scared to let them out in front of him. "I'm sorry jagi, it's okay." He said and tugged at your arms so you bumped into his chest. You cried softly, trying not to sob to loud. His hands roamed over your back in the hope to sooth you. He then grabbed your upper arms and pushed you back a little so he could look at you while he spoke.

"Baby, if something is bothering you, tell me. You shouldn't keep that all to yourself, it's only going to make you feel bad." You sobs turned into hiccups as he wiped the tears from your face. "But y-you alway say I'm u-ugly when I cry." He chuckled and shook his head. "No, that just looks like it because your sooo pretty when you smile." You giggled at his cheesiness and calmed down a little. "Don't be scared to cry babe, I'll comfort you, that's one of my jobs as your boyfriend." You nodded and let him comb your hair out of your eyes. "And about what you said...let's try to find a solution for that shall we?"

Your eyes opened it wonder. You had asked him so many times already to stop boxing but he always got angry about it. This was the first time he was standing open for your opinion. He pulled you with him to the couch and you cuddled up into his arms. "I'm sorry for screaming at you. Let's just forget about it, I know you love boxing and it's not my right to take it away from you. Just be more carefull okay?" You gave in again and he smiled happily, little sparks visible in his eyes.

"Anything for you." You giggled and took a pillow to put it under your head. He pouted when you did that and looked down at you. "Yah, am I not good enough as your pillow?" He asked since your head was on his chest. "No, you are too hard with all those muscles." You both laughd before he captured your lips. Thank god those always remained soft.
