When he becomes blind part 4/4
You woke up from a vibrating feeling against your head. While moaning you lifted yourself in your chair and grabbed the phone which was on your book. "Hello?" You said grumpy and waited for the person who disturbed your sleep to anwser. "________-ah? It's Kai, are you still coming or what?" You sighed and looked up to the clock on your nightstand. "Shit!" You muttered and jumped up, almost falling over your own feet. "I overslept." You groaned and clamped your phone between your ear and shoulder so you could use your hands to pull your jeans up. "Is he back already?" You asked while pushing your books in your bag and swinging it over your shoulder. You buttoned the blazer of your uniform and started to walk to the front door.
"Yephe, and he's waiting for you. You better get here soon, he wants you to be the first one he sees." The lump in your throath grew and you started to become nervous. "I'm getting there as fast as I can." You cooed while jumped into your car and driving off, searching your way to the hospital through the small roads of your neighborhood. "He's getting impatient." Kai continued to put some pressure on your shoulders. "And he sais that I'm the one who's never patient." You both laughed and just at that moment you parked your car in front of the big, white building. "I'm outside, i'll be there in a minute." After that you hung up, not waiting for his reply anymore.
You slowly walked through the hall, almost finding his room blindly. It was the same room as he had been in last time, so it was easy to find. You knocked the door and smiled when you saw Baekhyun sitting on the bed. Kai and DO were sitting next to him, they were probably the only ones of EXO who were free right now. "Jagi!" Baekhyun happily said and patted the place in between his legs, asking you to sit. He already recognized you only by hearing your footsteps. Cottonwool was covering his eyes, he had to wait with taking it off until the doctor told him he could do it. "Hey Baek." You pecked his lips before you sat down and smiled to the other to guys. "It's nice to see you again ________-ah." DO said and smiled brightly at you. "It nice to see you again too." You looked down when you felt two arms crept around your waist.
You were still giggling when Kai and DO told you that they were going to the cafeteria to eat something. They would be back in an hour or so, so you promised to keep Baekhyun company until then. School only started in two hours anyway. "So, you overslept again?" He said and at his voice you could hear that he was teasing you. "Yah! I studied until...I don't know, late. So I was tired." He nodded, telling you that he understood what you were saying. "Above your cereals again?" You laughed when you thought back about the last time you had overslept youself and shook your head. "No, on my desk." You turned around so you were facing him. "How are you feeling? Does it hurt?" He moved his head from left to right. "It doesn't hurt, but I want these things off." He pointed to the white things which were covering his sight.
Just after he said that there was another knock on the door and the doctor stook his head around the cornor. "How are you feeling mister Byun?" He asked and you hopped off the bed and sat on a chair so he could do his work properly. He checked your boyfriend's eyes and you were playing with your fingers, totally stressed. "Okay, everything looks great. I think that we can take these off now." He said and started to pull off everything that was in front of Baekhyun's eyes. "________?" You walked closer again and grabbed the hand which he reached out to you. "I'm right here." You voice sounded hoarse and peeped a little. When everything was off you could see that the area around his eyes was a little red, but that was probably normal. Suddenly he didn't open his eyes at all, like he was scared to do it.
"Open your eyes Baekhyun." You encouraged him and he bit his lip. "But what if it didn't work?" You gave his hand a squeeze. "There's only one way to find out." He sighed and blinked his eyes repeatingly and them opened them fully. At the first sight there was nothing different about them at all, they were still his dark, chocolate, brown eyes you knew so well. But you saw that those eyes were looking straight at you, taking you whole in, slipping over every inch of your body. You pouted, suddenly insecure again. A smile crept over his face when he saw it and he opened his arms for a hug. "Well, hello beautiful." He laughed and you laughed with him while nestling yourself against him. He pushed you back a little and combed your hair out of your face again, but this time without putting his finger in your eye.
"You're just as pretty as I remember, if it's not prettier." He muttered and cupped your face with his hands. You looked up into his eyes and found them staring right into yours. All of a sudden he pouted and your eyebrows arched in surprise. "Unbelieveble, I'm falling for you, again. How do you do that?" You giggled and all your doubts seemed to be forgotten. You wiggled with your arm and his look landed on the bracelet on your arm. "In darkness or in light..." He rested his forehead against yours and sighed in content. "Even in the dark you always loved me, but not as much as still I love you." Then he kissed you, all of his emotions were in it. You felt so overwelmed that nothing could ruin this moment anymore. "Whaaaa, so cheesy! Get a room!" Jongae's voice filled the room and you groaned before pulling away from Baekhyun. Or almost nothing...
