30†A week before

Chapter 30

Reo: Hello guys! I made few changes dun sa previous chapter, few lang naman. Chapter 29 supposedly be a "month after" the two main characters confesses their feelings towards each other. This chapter is about "a week" before the accident happend so yeah! that's it. Sa mga medyo naguluhan kindly re-read again kasi pag nag explain pa ako baka mas lalo pa kayong maguluhan.

Day 1

I was about to open my locker nang may isang kamay ang pumigil nun. Napatalon ako sa gulat at nasapo ang dibdib ko.

"You! Elie Marie Austin! why didn't you tell me na kayo na pala ni Nero?"
Hindi agad ako nakasagot kay Dia. I wanted to say something pero walang salita ang lumalabas sa bibig ko. That was a week ago and akala ko walang makakaalam tungkol dun.
"I want every detail young lady after--" she glanced at her wrist watch. "My English and Literature class--" umangat ulit ang tingin nito sakin. "I'll see you later lover girl." she teased and left running.
Yeah, she better be kung hindi late na siya sa klase niya.
Napailing nalang ako. I don't know where she heard it but may na se-sense akong may kinalaman dito si Grey.
Humarap ulit ako sa locker ko at nang buksan ko iyon ay may nahulog na envelope, black envelope. Pinulot ko iyon at tiningnan. May nakasulat sa likod na 'to: E.M.A'
As far as I can remember, nakatanggap na ako neto before from someone named Caleb-- no that's right pangatlong beses na akong nakatanggap ng itim na envelope but yung una, hindi ko pa nabuksan dahil na lingat sa isip ko. I am sure nasa bag ko pa yun.
Binuksan ko ang envelope.

I put it back in, in the envelope and slide it in my bag.

Who's Caleb? why is he sending me letters? ano ang gusto niyang iparating? Kilala niya ako that's for sure and siguro alam niyang hindi ako tao.. maybe.. maybe he knows? maybe not.. ugh! this is making me crazy!
'Who are you Caleb? what do you know about me?'
"Who's Caleb?"
Napatalon ako sa gulat. Nasa tabi ko na pala itong si Grey.
"Ginulat mo ako."
"That doesn't answer my question. Who's Caleb?" seryosong tanong sakin ni Grey. Naka kunot ang noong nakatingin ito sakin at naghihintay sa sagot ko.
"I- I- ah.. he's a kid.. I mean I met a kid who's name was Caleb! that's right! his name was Caleb and.. and he was so cute and adorable. I- I can't stop thinking about that kid." sinubukan ko ang unang pumasok sa isip ko.
Nakatingin lang ito sakin, trying to figure out things whether I'm saying the truth or not.
'Patay! one thing my parents loved about me is that I'm not good at lying! Damn it Ema!'
"Don't get near kids, you might eat them alive." he shrug and throw his arm around me. "And don't let me near that kid or I might eat him alive." It’s hard to believe whether he's joking or what.
"You are going to eat a cute, adorable, irresistible and good looking kid?" I shove off his arms around me and faced him. "Are you serious Nero Grey?!" pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata.
"Hell yes I am."
"Why?" di na maipinta ang mukha ko. Di pa rin ako makapaniwala na kaya niyang kumain ng cute na bata-- kahit hindi naman totoong bata si Caleb pero yung thought na kakainin niya ang bata? ang cute na bata?!
"I'm your boyfriend and you're talking about some guy--"
Napangiti ako. He's jealous!
"What are you smiling at?" he rolled his eyes
"Nero Grey Deneris. Haven't I told you that you will always be 'the man' or 'the shaitan' or 'the ghoul' or 'the creature' I love. I don't care what you are or who you are for I will always love you and still in love with you Nero Grey Deneris so don't get jealous to a kid. Okay?"
After saying those, abot tenga ang ngiti nito sakin at tumango tango.
"I love you too My Elie Marie Austin." and he kissed my forehead.
"Tama na yan love birds. Students pagpasensyahan niyo na ang dalawang ito. Hey you, the lady in blue-- the one recording the whole scene please send me a copy of the video and tell your friends to upload the pictures in their official website and sa official Facebook page rin nila. Okay? Thanks!"
Namula ang buong mukha ko nang marinig iyon.
They teased us after that. Tama nga ang hinala ko, Grey told Stellar about me and him being official and Stellar told their entire clan about the news and told all her classmates in all her subjects and told Dia. Yun pala ang ibig sabihin ng mga 'congrats' na natatanggap ko kanina. Akala ko pa naman dahil sa na feature ang painting kong si 'Nonoy' sa isang show.
Hinatid ako ni Grey papauwi kahit may klase pa siya. Ang tigas nga naman ng ulo ng lalakeng yun, gusto raw niya akong ihatid dahil sabi nga niya 'I'm your boyfriend, that's what a boyfriend should do, taking you home safe' well I admit kinilig ako, sino ba naman ang hindi kikiligin dun?
Pagpasok ko napatingin ako sa may paanan ko. May isang black rose at isang note na itim. Pinulot ko iyon at noot noong tiningnan ang bintana. Nakabukas iyon.
"Grey." napangiti ako. Gawain na iyon ni Grey pag nag iiwan siya ng pagkain sakin.
Pagbukas ko sa note ay kinabahan ako. Dali dali kong sinarado ang pinto at ni lock iyon pati na rin ang lahat ng bintana sa loob.
Tinawagan ko si Stellar, dalawang ring lang ay sinagot niya agad ito.
"Hey what's up?" sagot nito
"Are you busy?"
"Is there something wrong?"
"I'm in my apartment right now and I think someone broke into my apartment--"
"I'm right outside."
Nabutan ako ng tinik nang may kumatok sa pinto. Pinatay ko ang phone ko at dali daling pinagbuksan si Stellar.
"Hey, are you alright?" agad na lumapit sakin si Stellar at niyakap ako. "Did he know about this?"
"Grey? no and please don't tell him baka ano pa ang gawin nun."
Kumalas ito at tumingin sakin.
"Ok, I won't tell him." she said.
"Thank you."
"So tell me what happend."
So I told her everything, pati na ang unang sulat na natanggap ko. Madali kong nahanap ang unang letter dahil naroon pa rin ito sa isang bag ko na matagal ko nang hindi nagamit, yun yung bag na gamit ko nung hinatid ako ni Lukas pauwi.
"Ok let's keep this a secret pero pag nagpatuloy pa rin siya sa kapapadala sayo ng mga sulat, I'll take care of him. Okay?"
"Okay, thank you Stellar."
After that, I texted Dia. Nagdahilan ako na masama ang pakiramdam ko at kailangan kong magpahinga.
