Chapter 5

When Lena and Eliza turned 1, Liam was 2, and it was the two year anniversary. Nathan and I have been together for a total of 5 years now. I was standing on the dock by the beach. Brad and Lindsey were watching Lena, Eliza, and Liam until we got back this weekend. I was enjoying the breeze, I felt Nathan's hands slide around my waist. I leaned back against him. "You look amazing today by the way. Oh, wait that's every day." He said.

"Eh, you look good too." I said leaning my head back against his shoulder. He gave me a kiss. "I want to go swimming." I said stripping down to my swimsuit. Nate watched as I climbed over the railing.

"Be careful." Nate said.

"Come join me." I said jumping into the cold water.

That night, I was sitting in a tub of warm water. We had a run in with some jerks from the gas station we stopped at on the way. I was shoved into the dock and had cuts and bruising my back and on my shoulder. I finished up and went into the bedroom. Nathan came in from the balcony doors after going for a run. He was extremely pissed.

He sat down on the bed. I climbed onto the bed and slid my arms around his neck, hugging him from behind. "Leah, my wolf is pissed." I kissed behind his ear and his neck sliding my hands over his bare chest.

"Please Nate? My back hurts and you always make things better. Please baby." He turned his head to me and his lips met mine. He climbed into bed with me. The phone rang just as Nate started to remove my shorts.

I answered my cell phone sitting up. Nathan moved his lips down my neck. "Hello?" Nathan pulled me into his lap.

"Hey, don't panic. Lena had an allergic reaction to some mushrooms that she had with dinner. I took gave her some allergy medicine that you packed. She's doing fine. I'll keep an eye on her for you."

"Are you sure she's all right?" I asked Lindsey pushing my hand against Nate's chest stopping him.

"I'm sure. I will give you an update in the morning. I just wanted to let you know."

"Okay." I said. "Thanks." We hung up.

"What's wrong?" Nate asked.

"Lena had an allergic reaction. She's doing better." I said.

"Okay. Do we need to go?" he asked.

"No. She'll call in the morning with an update." I said.

It was Friday afternoon when we got back. Nate was given the 3rd degree when Lindsey saw my bruised shoulder. "Nate didn't do it." I said.

"Good. I didn't want to have to kick his ass."

"How was the trip otherwise?"

"Boring when we weren't in public." I said, Nate spanked me leaving his hand there.

Lena waddled in. "MAMA!" I crouched to her level and held out my arms. She waddled as quickly as she could. She hugged me. I picked her up.

Four weeks later, I was working late and it was date night. I was in the locker room changing into a new pair of scrubs and talking to Nathan. "I don't know when I'll be done. They changed my hours for my shift." I said.

"That sucks. First date night since our getaway and you have to work."

"I'm sorry. I didn't know that they would change my hours."

"I know and I understand. I love you and I know how much you love your work. I'll be here when you get home and doubt I'll be asleep, but if I am just wake me up okay?"
