I watched from the kitchen window while washing dishes as Trent supervised Jack our new puppy with 6 month old Hunter.  Jack was only rough with Trent.  Trent set Hunter down on his blanket and kept him close with his hand supporting his back.  A couple approached Trent and Hunter.  I dried my hands and exited the house.  Hunter gave me an adorable toothless smile.  He had at least 2 coming in.  He stretched his arms out reaching for me.  Trent picked up Hunter and handed him to me.  "I'm Kyle and this is my wife Sarah.  We're the Newtons.  We saw your ad in the paper about renting your other house.  Is it still available?"

"I'm Trent, this is my wife Mindy and our son Hunter.  It is available yes."  he said.  "I'll show you around."  Trent kissed my cheek.  He led them off and I took Hunter inside.

That night, Trent came in after grilling two steaks and some boy scout potatoes.  "Dinner is served."  he said putting my steak on a plate and putting some potatoes beside it.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."  he sat down beside me and had his fork in midair when there was a knock on the front door.  He stood up and went to get it.  "Yeah?"

"Hey, I can't get the A/C to work."

"The A/C doesn't work over there right now.  I've put in the order to get it fixed and it should be by this weekend.  The fans work great."

"All right."  Trent walked in.

"I told him that earlier."  he said sitting back down.

After dinner, Trent was sitting on the couch watching me with Hunter.  He was on the bottle now until he could start having solid food.  He was still more interested in breast milk than in formula, it was all he wanted.  I looked up from Hunter.  "What?"

"Nothing."  he said.

"Why are you watching me?"  I asked with a laugh.

"Same reason as always."  he said standing up.  He kissed my cheek softly.  "I'm going to go shower."  he said.  "Make sure you lock the front door.  Jack's already been out for the night.  That guy...  my wolf is telling me something is strange about him."

"I'll lock it."  Windows were always locked.  One less thing to worry about.  "Is the back door locked?"

"Yes."

"Okay.  I'll be up shortly."  he kissed my lips softly.

I locked the front door and carried Hunter upstairs.  He was sound asleep.  I put him in his crib and turned on his night light.  I turned off the light and closed the door.

Trent was shaving in the bathroom.  I closed the window and locked it.  I closed the curtains and felt Trent behind me.  "Little man asleep?"

"Yes and his monitor is on."

"Good."  he backed me up onto the bed and was about ready to kiss me when a knock came from downstairs.  "Are you serious?"

"Apparently.  Go ahead.  I need a shower anyway."  he stood up and put on some sweatpants over his boxers and grabbed a t-shirt.  I went to shower.
