"So you really have to leave?" David asked, for probably the fifteenth time since yesterday. I laughed and kissed him softly.
Kendra and Danny were saying their goodbyes on the opposite side of the car. We had told my grandparents goodbye this morning and decided to stop and see the guys one last time on our way out.
"I have stuff to do back home." I kept it simple, he couldn't know I was 17; obviously. I mean, I'd probably never see him again after this anyways.
"Wait here." David said, holding up his hand.
"David! I have to leave!" I called after him. Of course he didn't care. David ran in the house and within a matter of seconds he was back, holding something in his hands.
He handed me the black cloth and I laughed.
"Your hoodie?" I laughed more and he rolled his eyes, motioning for me to turn around. I did as he asked.
David moved my hair and a cold chain was placed on my neck. I looked down and saw a beautiful flower pendent. It had a single diamond in the middle, and light, and dark purple petals.
I gasped and turned to face David, shock clearly evident in my face.
"Where did you..?"
"I have my ways." He smiled. "So you don't forget me." He rested his hand on my cheek and I smiled into him.
"I love it." I whispered. "I could never forget you." David smiled and placed a soft kiss on my lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck and we stayed like that for what felt like forever.
"I have to go." I whispered. He nodded and hugged me one last time.
Kendra got in the driver seat and I in the passenger.
And just like that, David disappeared from my view, but not my heart.

"Are you excited for tomorrow?" I asked Melanie, as i plopped next to her on the couch. She rose an eyebrow at me.
"Why would I be excited?"
"Your first day of high school..." I said with a sigh. "I was ecstatic about my first day."
"Yeah, yeah." She said, picking up her phone. Melanie saw that I wasn't moving and sighed loudly. "Fine, I guess I'm kind of excited." She had a small smile on her face before she rolled her eyes. "Tomorrow is your first day as a senior." She said. "You should be the one excited, your one step closer to getting out of that place!"
I laughed and nodded.
My phone buzzed on the table and I picked it up to see I had a new message.
Unknown Number:
Hey, beautiful. (:I furrowed my eyebrows. Creepy much?
Me:
Who is this??"What's wrong?" Melanie asked. I looked up from my phone for a second and gave her a questioning look.
Unknown Number:
David. (:Oh.
I smiled. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing."
Melanie rolled her eyes. "Who is he?"
I smiled at her and put a finger to my lips.
My smile widened a bit and I explained to her almost everything that happened at grandmas. She laughed a few times, gasped a few times and that was the end.
After the end of my little romance story Melanie and I went to bed, ready to start our first day of school.

Romance"You're overthinking. I see those gears turning in that pretty little head of yours." I laughed at him and sighed. "There's so many reasons we can't be together, David." He nodded. "I know, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes." "Okay." I said...
