"You what?" Kendra screamed, causing a few customers to look at us weirdly. She quickly apologized and then looked back to me. "You ran from him?" She whisper- shouted.
I nodded, covering my face with my hands.
"It was stupid, I know, but I just... freaked out." I said sadly. David had called me, and texted me repeatedly, but I've ignored it.
It was killing me, but every time he called all I could do was stared at the phone.
"You love him, right?" I nodded and she sighed. "Then you need to tell the man!"
I sighed this time.
"Kendra, I can't."
"Why?"
"I don't know!" I said,exasperated.
"Can I get some more napkins?" A lady asked, I nodded and skated to the back where we kept the extra napkins. I handed the lady the napkins, before taking the empty napkin holder and beginning to fill it.
Kendra rolled her eyes and skated to a customer, ending our conversation.
Maybe she's right.
I should've told him.

The drive to David's house seemed to take forever. My hands were clammy, and I smelled like French fries.
When I got home I changed, told Kendra to fill mom in, and left. It only took twenty minutes.
I was just in jeans and a T-Shirt but I knew David wouldn't care. I knew he loved me now, even if I probably had ketchup in my hair.
I pulled into his driveway, ready to tell him how I felt. I needed to fix this.
With my rare burst of confidence I walked up to his door, not even bothering to knock.
But of course, every love story has that cliché moment when the girl walks in on her boyfriend with another girl, and doesn't give him a chance to explain himself, only later to find out it was a misunderstanding.
So, I stood there and watched as a woman tried to talk to my boyfriend while he looked completely fed up and told her to leave.
I almost didn't expect the kiss she planted on his lips, which he quickly ended. I actually laughed when he pushed her away.
"Madilyn..." He said. "It's not what-"
"Yeah, yeah." I cut him off. "It's not what it looks like, blah blah blah, I know. Let's just get to the part where you explain why this chick is crawling all over my boyfriend like a monkey on a tree." I cross my arms and chuckle at Davids shocked face.
The woman just rolls her eyes. "I have a name."
I scoffed. "I don't know your name, nor do I care too. My boyfriend doesn't look like he wants anything to do with you, and I have to tell him something really important, so leave." I smiled at David and he smiled back.
"My name is Sarah." She spat. "Im just taking back what's mine." She came closer to me. My confidence stayed, no matter how much older she was than me, she was not taking my boyfriend.
But then a memory hit me like a freight train.
"I just think he should've married Sarah."
"She was and exceptional woman compared to this child."
"I don't care how much you loved Sarah, I love Madilyn..."
With that last memory in my head, I quickly regained my confidence. I didn't care that Mrs. Parker liked Sarah better than me. David liked me better than Sarah.
"Sarah, you need to leave." David said in a stern voice. Sarah glared at me and stepped closer, if that was even possible.
"Look, little girl, I can ruin you." She spat, her brown eyes turning a dark shade of red. "He will be mine again, no matter what I have to do to get him." Sarah hit her shoulder against mine, very roughly, and stomped out the door.
David stared at me, knowing I'd want an explanation. I didn't want it now though, I just wanted to fix what I screwed up.
So, I walked towards David and kissed him with all my might.
He smiled when I pulled away, and wrapped his arms tightly around me.
"I missed you." He whispered against my hair. I tightened my hold on him before pulling away to look at him.
"I love you." I whispered. His eyes lit up and he looked like he pulls burst with happiness any second.
And that's just what he did.
He picked me up and squeezed me tightly. He set me down and kissed me quickly before hugging me again. I laughed and stopped him.
"I love you, Madilyn."
"I love you too, David."

Romance"You're overthinking. I see those gears turning in that pretty little head of yours." I laughed at him and sighed. "There's so many reasons we can't be together, David." He nodded. "I know, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes." "Okay." I said...
