"I swear if you beat me one more time I'm quitting life." Danny huffed, staring at his girlfriend. Kendra rolled her eyes and pressed play, immediately going into Kendra game mode.
I smiled at them. Danny was trying to win, but smiling at Kendra every time she got excited over a kill. He looked at her the way David looked at me.
David and I had quit the game an hour ago, deciding it was more fun to watch them play against each other.
Right now, I was sitting on David's lap in one of his t-shirts and a pair of shorts. Kendra was in the same with her hair in a perfect messy bun.
David's hand was rubbing circles on my thigh and secretly it was driving me insane.
David and I had 'continued' what was happening at the restaurant- or what I wished had happened- but he wouldn't go any farther with me. I had even taken the pathetic route and asked him more than once.
He had said no, repeatedly. Saying we had only been together four months and that we had to wait until I graduated.
I knew I wanted him to be my first. I wanted him to be able to have the most important thing I could give.
It was definitely a pride buster that he didn't want it, but it was all for good reasoning. Besides, he had let us do other things that blew my mind.
If you know what I mean.
"Boom!" Kendra shouted, scaring me out of my thoughts. "I won... Again!" She stood up, dancing around the living room. I laughed when Danny rolled his eyes and stood up, walking into the kitchen. Kendra smiled and grabbed my hand, pulling me to dance with her. For about half a second I objected but then remembered that I had nothing to be ashamed of.
I stood up with Kendra and together we danced around the Guys living room like lunatics, but having so much fun.
Danny had come into the living room again with a bag of chips in one hand and with the other he grabbed Kendra by the waist and left the room. She laughed and waved goodbye and before I knew it they had disappeared into Danny's room to do very bad things.
David turned off the tv and we walked back to his room. He opened the door and I immediately jumped onto the soft bed, making myself at home. It was like it was my bed too at this point.
I sat up on my elbows and smiled at him.
He was giving me the same look he gave me all the time, the look he gave me at the beach house. He was memorizing me again.
"You know you don't have to memorize me." I said, sitting up on my knees and scooting to the edge of the bed where he stood.
"Why is that?" He asked, smiling and shutting the door. I gulped before quickly regaining my confidence.
"Because I'm going to be around for a long time." I said, wrapping my arms around his neck. He smiled and pulled me to him in a tight hug. David picked my up bridal style, and laid me on my side of the bed. He turned off the light and laid beside me.
I could barely see his face through the moonlit window, but I saw enough to see him smiling.
"You're so amazing, Madilyn." He whispered. "How did I get so lucky?" He pushed a piece of hair behind my ear and intertwined out fingers.
I smiled at him. "I've been asking myself the same thing." He leaned forward and pecked my lips softly, closing his eyes.
I traced my fingers along his face and sighed.
"You're too perfect." I whispered. He smiled and I watched as he slowly fell asleep while I traced his face with my fingers.

"I said I wasn't going Kendra." I said, resting my head against the passenger seat of her car.
"And I said you were." She replied, pulling into the mall. I rolled my eyes and we got out of the car. "It's your senior year, Madi. You have to make the most of it."
"I said I'd go to prom, I didn't agree to the winter ball, or homecoming which you forcefully dragged me to." She rolled her eyes this time and looped her arms with mine. Kendra and I walked into the first dress store and I sighed, deciding it wouldn't be completely terrible.
I looked through some dresses, none of them really caught my eye though. We went to a second store where Kendra had found her dress. It was a short, white dress with diamond outlining at the top and a sweet heart neckline. She bought white heels to match. I started to feel hopeless.
When we reached the third store I had given up.
"Kendra, can we just go home?" I sighed and she, of course, said no.
"Oh! This is perfect!" She yelled. I sighed and walked to wear she was holding a gorgeous dress. It was beautiful, way better than anything else I'd seen today.
It was a short, sparkly, silver dress. It was sleeveless, and hanging from the back was a soft, see through fabric with diamonds spread across it.
I took the dress from her and slipped into a dressing room to try it on.
The dress fit perfectly and it looked even better. The back trailed behind me a little, but that could be fixed with some heels.
I walked out of the dressing room and Kendra squealed, clapping her hands excitedly. I laughed and did a spin in the mirror. She handed me a pair of silver heels and I gladly tried them on. I looked amazing, and I knew I'd look even better with my hair and makeup done.
Suddenly, I was really excited about this dance.

So Many Reasons
Romantik"You're overthinking. I see those gears turning in that pretty little head of yours." I laughed at him and sighed. "There's so many reasons we can't be together, David." He nodded. "I know, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes." "Okay." I said...
