Kendra was debating on something.

I could tell by the look on her face while she was curling her hair.

"Kendra what is it?" I said finally, moving from the mirror and looking at her. She looked hesitant.

"I don't know If I should tell you yet." She wrung her hands together.

"Tell me." I put my eyeliner down and stared at her.

"Um.." She stuttered. "Okay." She came closer and sat down in front of me. "I'm..." She took a deep breath. "I'm pregnant."

I stared at her.

"You're what?" I yelled. She nodded, her face turning an unusual color.

"I couldn't believe it either..." She said softly, staring at her stomach.

"Does Danny know?"

She nodded. "He was with me when I took the test."

"Kendra you're 17." I said, suddenly worried for my best friend. She nodded again.

"I know, but I refuse to abort a baby, that's wrong, and I think Danny and I going to work it out." She smiled softly. "I was scared... Terrified... When I found out, but Danny calmed me down. He was so excited, and it's making me kind of excited too." She said.

"Well..." I didn't know what to say. I'm glad she has Danny and he's sticking by her side, but she's so young. "You know I'll be right here every step of the way." I said finally. This was my best friend and I'd be by her side no matter what.

Kendra hugged me and I smiled.

"Now, let's finish getting ready, the guys will be here soon." She said, getting up and pulling down her dress. We were wearing the same dresses, just different colors.

We were wearing fitted, sparkly, dresses that came to our knees and were long- sleeved. Mine was silver and Kendra's was red. Kendra's hair was curled, and mine was straightened.

I slipped on the promise ring from David and smiled down at it. I slipped my feet into some silver flats and I was ready to go.

"Girls!" Mom yelled. "The guys are here." Kendra gave herself a once over and we made our way down the hall.

David looked amazing. He was wearing black dress pants and a white dress shirt. I wanted to kiss the life out of him.

But that wouldn't be appropriate so I stepped next to him and smiled.

He wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my temple.

"You look amazing, Madilyn." His eyes discreetly roamed my body and I blushed.

Danny and Kendra were in their little love bubble, draped all over each other.

I smiled and looked to David.

"I'm guessing you know as well?" He nodded and looked at the two once again.

"You ready to meet the family?" I asked and looped my arm with his. David pulled me to the living room where my family, and parents friends were waiting.

"Everyone, this is David. David, this is everyone." I said, gesturing to my family.

Mel and Michael were sitting next to each other, not paying any attention to us. David had come over a week ago and introduced himself to Mel. She was supportive and said that it was my life and I could do with it what I wanted.

David got along well with everyone, so did Danny.

My grandparents were actually glad to see David and Danny. No surprise there.

"Are you going to tell mom and dad?" I whispered to Kendra as we ate our dinner. She nodded.

"When everyone leaves."

I nodded to myself and continued to eat my food. David's hand was tracing circles on my hand while he held if and I tried hard to keep the butterflies in check.

I noticed him start to play with the ring on my finger and he smiled to himself.

I looked around the table and watched as my family and friends talked amongst themselves; everyone enjoying their time with one another.

I loved being with my family, but their was someone missing; grandpa.

I knew he wasn't suffering anymore, and I was glad for that. I know he is watching over all of us with a smile on his face. May he rest in peace.
