"So you're all moved in?" I smiled at my laptop screen watching David talk back to me.  We have been skyping nearly every night since I've been back home. It's been a long two weeks, and seeing him only a computer screen has been torture.

"Yup." he said popping the 'p'. "We-" a loud crash was heard and David whipped his head behind him. "Danny! Are you serious? That's the third thing you've broken!" I giggled and watched David and Danny continue to yell at each other. David and Danny had moved into a new house God knows where. I didn't care enough to ask really. I knew it wasn't close to me.

David shook his head and turned back to me. "You're wearing my hoodie." He smiled. I nodded, feeling my cheeks heating up.

"I haven't taken it off in a week." He laughed and fanned his nose, making a disgusted face.

"I can tell." David was suddenly pushed out of the cameras view and ended up being replaced by a smiling Danny.

"Hey, Madi!" I smiled and waved at Danny.

"Hey, Danny." He smiled back and was hit in the back of the head by David.

"What the hell?" He yelled, leaving the cameras view once again.

"Leave my girlfriend alone." I froze.

My girlfriend.

Girlfriend.

He said girlfriend.

I think I stopped breathing. David seemed to catch what he had said and he to froze. David stared at me, and I stared at him. We both ignored Danny running around in the back. He is so hyperactive.

"I- um..." David trailed off. My cheeks were on fire, and by the looks of it, his were too.

"Madi!" Mom called, snapping me from my daze.

"Coming!" I yelled back. I said goodbye to David, very awkwardly, and went to thank my mom for saving me from such an awkward moment.

David had texted me later that night, apologizing for the slip up and I brushed it off as if his words hadn't fazed me.

They had fazed me. A lot actually.

I have had very few boyfriends, simply because I think I deserve better than what my school has to offer.

This morning Kendra had picked Mel and I up for school since mom had her car. The whole drive was loud and crazy as we danced to every song on the radio without a care in the world.

"So," Kendra started, getting out of her bug and linking her arm with mine. "You ready to meet the mysterious Mr. Parker?" She waggled her eyebrows and we continued to walk into the school.

"Ew, Kendra. That's so disgusting... And illegal!" She chuckled and smirked.

"Not if you're 18, which I am." I scoffed and nudged her.

"What about Danny?" I said, adding extra emphasis on his name. "Besides you don't know who he is, he could be a nasty old man with a wart on his nose."

Kendra stuck her tongue out at me and I pulled a funny face, earning a laugh from her. She shook her head and we walked into the harmony room.

We sat in our chair, waiting for the mysterious Mr.Parker to reveal himself. I smirked to myself. I bet he did have a giant wart on his nose. How would I be able to focus? I'd be too busy trying not to laugh. At least it wasn't an actual class where is have to pay attention to get a good grade.

I was too engrossed in my own mind to hear the door open.

"Good morning class." A deep, familiar, voice said. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at the new harmony teacher.

Oh no.

Hell no.

This can't be happening...

Kendra must have noticed the same thing because she gasped and gripped my arm.

"We have to leave." I whispered, bending down to get my bag. She nodded and grabbed her own. He wasn't paying any attention to the class yet so he didn't notice us.

When he turned around to write his name on the board and some other things Kendra and I got up and crept our way to the door. I twisted the handle to the door and slowly pulled it open. The door creaked and his head snapped in our direction.

"Girls, where are you going?" He said in a stern voice. I froze and squeezed Kendra's hand. We couldn't speak without him knowing who we were. "Girls?" I heard footsteps and I knew he was coming closer. I gave Kendra a look, asking what we should do. She gave me a look back that told me all I needed to take off.

"Run."

So that's what we did. My best friend and I ran out of the room as fast as possible, ignoring him calling after us.
