"I said drop it." I snapped for the third time. I didn't like fighting with David, but he kept bringing Sarah up and what had happened. I didn't want to talk about it, he said he made her leave and asked her not to come back. I was still hurt but I tried pushing through it.
He wasn't helping.
"Baby." He whispered, rubbing his thumb across my cheek. It was then I noticed I was crying. He pulled me into hug him and I sighed, relaxing into him.
"I'm so sorry, Madilyn." He said softly. I wrapped my arms around him and sighed again. "I shouldn't have let her in the house."
"No you shouldn't have." I said softly. He nodded.
"I know, baby. I'm sorry." Then he leaned back. "But to make up for what I did..." He said. "Merry early Christmas." David handed me a box and I smiled at it.
Inside was a beautiful silver band ring. My mouth dropped open and I picked the ring out of the box, staring at it intently.
"It's a promise ring." He said. "Because I promise to love you for as long as I am still breathing." I smiled up at David and stared at the beautiful band in front of me.
It had three diamonds on the front, and our names carved into the sides.
"I love it, David. Thank you." I kissed him softly and he smiled into the kiss.
"Are you nervous?" I asked him. He shook his head.
"I have no reason to be."
Christmas was in two days and I was ecstatic. Kendra was coming over Christmas Eve and spending the night. Mom and I bought her presents every year anyways so she would've been over later in the day.
Her parents were spending Christmas in Hawaii and she was okay with that. It meant she could spend Christmas with me and have moms Christmas morning pancakes!
David was coming over for Christmas dinner where he would meet my Aunt Amby her husband, and my cousin Michael.
Christmas dinner was never boring at my house.
Last year Michael knocked over the Christmas tree, the year before dad knocked out the power. David would not be bored.
"Is Danny coming to dinner too?" I asked and he nodded.
Yep, this Christmas would be interesting for sure.

"Is Christmas!" Kendra yelled, shaking me awake. I sat up and smiled. Both of us took off running downstairs, ready for pancakes.
"Morning girls." Mom said with a smile.
"Morning!" We both cheered. Mel walked downstairs slowly, wiping the sleep from her eyes. Mom said good morning to her in which she got a groan in reply. I laughed and shoveled pancakes into my mouth.
Kendra and I ate our pancakes in record time, ready to open our presents and start the day.
We sat next to each other by the tree, Mel beside Kendra, and we had presents in our hands.
"Everyone have a present?" Mom asked and we all nodded.
We tore open our presents, one after the other. Kendra and I had gotten some new clothes, some new speakers, phone cases, and many other things.
"HO HO HO." A deep voice rang through the house. Uncle Chris walked through the door, carrying more presents.
"Aunt Amby!" I yelled, running to hug her. She laughed and squeezed my shoulders.
"Hey sweetie."
"Michael!" I yelled, getting more excited. I hugged him and smiled. Michael and I had always been close, he was a months older than Mel and truthfully, everyone had been hoping they'd get together.
Before you jump to conclusions and say it's incest it's not. Amber and Chris aren't related to us at all, but Amber is my moms best friend.
No real relation.
I ship it.
"What time is everyone coming over?" Amber asked, setting down some presents. Mom looked to me and Kendra.
"David and Danny will be here at one thirty." I said and she nodded.
"Everyone else should be here by two." Mom said.
"So presents?" Dad asked, excitedly. Everyone nodded and we started opening more amazing presents.

So Many Reasons
Romance"You're overthinking. I see those gears turning in that pretty little head of yours." I laughed at him and sighed. "There's so many reasons we can't be together, David." He nodded. "I know, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes." "Okay." I said...
