I sat on the couch, fiddling with the hem of my dress as I waited for David to come back with our drinks.
David came back into the living room with two drinks in his hand. He handed me one and sat next to me on the couch, pressing play in the tv.
I felt so awkward.
Did he feel this way?
I pulled on the hem of my dress, hoping to relieve some of my nerves.
Okay Madi. Think; what did Kendra say to do?
Initiate small contact. How the hell do I do that?
I went on instinct- or what I thought was instinct- and what Kendra told me to try. I scooted closer and rested my head on his Chest. Okay, this is normal. We do this all the time.
Now what else? Tease, I think. No, that's not it.
Screw it, Madi just kiss your damn boyfriend!
With that tiny pep talk I looked up at David and turned his face to kiss me. David immediately responded to the kiss, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me into him.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him incredibly closer. David moved slightly so that my back was now against the couch and he was now hovering over me. David pulled away and smiled at me.
"Happy Birthday, baby." He said softly, touching my cheek gently. I smiled up at him.
"David..." I started. I had to ask. He would want it too. I took a deep breath. "David, make love to me." I said.
There. It's out there. He knows what I want. It's in his hands now.
He stared at me for a moment.
"Madilyn I-" he started but I stopped him.
"Please David." I said. "I want you to."
David stared at me for about half a second before a huge smile came across his face. He placed a hard kiss on my lips.
"I love you, Madilyn." He whispered.
"I love you, David." I whispered back, before pulling him back down to kiss me.

The sun streaming through the windows woke me from probably the best sleep of my life.
My bare legs were tangled in the blankets. I was extremely comfortable, and extremely happy.
I sighed and stretched out on the bed. When I did this, I noticed the other side of the bed was empty. David wasn't there.
But then I smelled the sweet smell of pancakes and I smiled again.
I slipped out of the bed and collected my bra and panties, putting them both on. I found David's white button up shirt lying on the floor and threw it on.
I knew Danny and Kendra were somewhere else, Kendra saying we needed privacy. I couldn't have agreed more.
I walked out of the room, the scent of pancakes becoming stronger the closer I got to the kitchen.
I wrapped my arms around David's naked torso and rested my head on his back.
David moved a pancake off the skillet and turned off the oven before turning in my arms to face me.
"Good morning, my love." He whispered, leaning down to kiss me. I smiled into the kiss and moved my arms around his neck.
"How're you feeling?" He cupped my face with his hand and stared into my eyes.
"I won't lie, I'm A little sore but it's bearable." I said.
Before I could understand what was going on David had me in his arms, bridal style.
"David!" I laughed. "What are you doing?"
He ignored me and continued to carry me to the bed. David set me down, and slid the covers back onto my body.
"David-" I was interrupted with a kiss. Then he left the room with one parting word; "stay".
I did as I was told and waited patiently.
A few minutes later David returned with a stack of perfect looking pancakes and orange juice in his hands. David gave me the glass and plate and started to dig around in his closet. He pulled out a small stand and set it on my lap, taking the plate and glass and setting it on the stand.
I smiled up at him and put my hand against the cheek.
"You're too perfect." I said, giving him a small kiss. He smiled and went to get his own plate.
I meant what I said.
He was perfect, and he was mine.

So Many Reasons
Romance"You're overthinking. I see those gears turning in that pretty little head of yours." I laughed at him and sighed. "There's so many reasons we can't be together, David." He nodded. "I know, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes." "Okay." I said...
