"Oh my god! I'm so excited!" Kendra squealed for the fifteenth time this morning. I rolled my eyes and shoved my books in my locker.
"Shut Up Kendra."
She huffed and crossed her arms. Then within a second her eyes lit up and she looked ready to squeal again. Before I could question a pair of arms wound around my waist.
"Hey baby." A soft kiss was placed against my ear and I smiled, turning in his arms.
"We're in school, David." I said only half heartedly. My hands found there way into his hair and he sighed, nuzzling his face into my neck.
"Everybody went home." He placed a few soft kisses on my neck, releasing a sigh from me.
I pulled him back from me and placed a small kiss on his lips. He smiled and leaned his forehead against mine.
"Are you going to the football game?" I rolled my eyes and nodded.
"Kendra won't shut up about it."
"Good."
He pecked my lips with another smile. Then he kissed me long and hard, leaving me breathless and wanting more.
"We'll finish this tonight." He said with a wink. I blushed a deep shade of red and pushed him slightly.
"Stop being so dirty." I scolded with a smile. He smiled back, pecking my lips once more before walking down the hall.
I skipped out of the school with a happy smile on my face. Not even seeing Kendra and Danny make out on my moms car could dampen my mood.
But I wanted to have a little fun.
I snuck behind the car and quietly opened the front door. I slid it shut just as quiet. Danny had Kendra pressed against the hood of moms car. I smirked to myself and slammed my hand down on the horn, while starting the car.
Kendra screamed and clutched onto Danny tightly as the two backed away from the car. I laughed loudly, clutching my stomach and resting my head on the steering wheel.
Kendra stomped her way to the car, glaring at me the whole time.
I laughed the whole way back to my house, not being able to hold it in. Eventually though, Kendra joined in.
"We should leave around 5:30." Kendra said and I nodded.
"Sounds good." I pulled into our driveway and put the car in park. Kendra and I walked into the house to see dad and Melanie watching tv. She had stayed home because she said she didn't feel good.
"We're home." I said, setting my bag on the ground and walking into the kitchen. "Hey mama." I gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Hi baby, hi Kendra." Mom smiled at the two of us. She was finishing up some dishes in the sink. Kendra sat down by the island and I got us two glasses of apple juice and chips ahoy cookies. It's kind of an after school tradition.
"How was school girls?" Mom turned wiped her hands dry on a rag and smiled at the two of us. Her hair was up in a messy bun and she was wearing a simple blue t-shirt and jeans.
"Good." I answered the same time Kendra answered "eh." We both laughed and continued to munch on our cookies.
I was about to take a bite out of another cookie when it was swiped from my hands.
Dad leaned against the counter and happily took a bite out of my cookie. I narrowed my eyes at him and he smiled widely at me.
"Dad!" I whined like a little kid then looked to mom. "Mom, daddy stole my cookie!" She laughed and shook her head at the two of us before walking out of the kitchen. Dad laughed too and got himself a glass of apple juice.
Kendra was used to us acting this way so she simply just sipped on her apple juice.
"So what's new pussy cats?" He asked. Kendra choked on her Apple juice and I laughed, patting her back.
"Kendra has a new boyfriend." I sang, smiling at her. She blushed and dads eyes widened with interest.
"Oh really?" He asked.
"New boyfriend, huh?" Mom repeated, walking back into the kitchen with a couple dirty dishes.
"Yes." Kendra mumbled, her face bright red. Aw. She never got embarrassed about having a boyfriend. She was never really serious about them.
"What's his name?" Dad asked.
"Danny." She smiled a bit.
"How old is he?" Dad continued to ask questions about Danny while Kendra blushed fiercely. I laughed. Kendra was like another daughter to mom and dad so the interrogation was a given.
"Madi has one too!" She said loudly, pointing at me and steering the questions away from her. I glared at her.
"No-" I tried.
"What?" Mom and dad yelled at the same time.
"It's complicated." I tried again, wringing my hands together.
Mom rose an eyebrow at me and I sighed giving Kendra a look that said "thanks". I knew she did not mean to tell my parents about David, she just wanted the attention away from herself and I completely understood. I had to tell them about him eventually.
It's now or never I guess.

So Many Reasons
Romance"You're overthinking. I see those gears turning in that pretty little head of yours." I laughed at him and sighed. "There's so many reasons we can't be together, David." He nodded. "I know, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes." "Okay." I said...
