Chapter 10 The game

Kendall POV
Today is Friday and it's the biggest football game of the season. Our football team is going to the state playoffs. I'm sitting in math because that is my last class for today. I look at the clock and realize that I have to leave. One of the perks of being a cheerleader is that I get to leave class 20 minutes early. My blonde hair is up in a high pony tail with a red and black bow tied around it. For some reason our school colors are red and black. Me and the other cheerleaders meet up. We practice a little and then line up by the bus. Me, Tabby, and Camryn are talking when I turn around. We watch the football players walk onto their bus. They look so tough with all their gear on. Jackson sees me and gives me a smile. Cameron waves at Camryn.

"Oh my gosh Cameron is so crushing on you" Tabby says to Camryn.

"Just because he waved at me doesn't mean he likes me" Camryn said.

"It's not just the wave. I can just feel the attraction he has to you"

"Let me guess; it's a witch power?"

"Shh! Nobody can know that she's a witch" I whisper. Luckily nobody heard that.

When we get to the game we set up a small mat and fix our hair. I see that Tyler kid that attacked me last time; he gives me a wink and a stupid smile. Before the players go onto the field to practice I get a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and see Jackson. There he is standing in a football jersey with his helmet in his hand.

"Good luck tonight" he tells me.

"I won't need it but thanks anyway" I say laughing.

As I'm walking away he says "hey Kendall"

"Yeah?" I say back

"You look great tonight."

"Thanks"
I smile. I can't believe that he just said I looked great tonight. But it's not like I like him or anything. Everyone always tells me that I look great. Besides, it's not like it would ever work out.

After the game me, Tabby, and Camryn talk as we wait for the bus to arrive. Tabby is getting really good at her witch magic. She can lift things without moving a finger. She's even started to read minds.
"Kendall?" She says to me.
"Yeah?" I say
"I was trying to read Jacksons mind but whenever I look at him I get a bad vibe"
"What kind of bad vibe?"
"When I look at him it kind of hurts. It's like he's-"
She gets interrupted by the boys joining in on our conversation.
"You guys killed it out there!" Camryn says.
"You guys did pretty great yourselves" Cameron said. Now that I think about it, I actually do think Cameron likes Camryn. We are walking onto the bus when I see him put his arm around her waist. Yeah he's totally into her.
