Chapter 19 6 months

It's been 6 months. Jackson and I act like complete strangers, not even smiling at each other when we pass by each other in the hall. I really don't mind either. He is still with Bri and I'm glad that they're happy. When I see them together, it doesn't pain me as much as it used to.

I mean sure me and Jackson did date for a little bit (secretly), we kissed, but he wanted her. Wants her. I'm walking to my normal lunch table, seeing Camryn and Tabby.

Oh, and surprisingly, I'm actually enjoying my new small house. I guess my popularity went down a little bit due to that, but I don't pay attention to that anymore. Doesn't seem important.

When I sit down I see a new face at our table.

"Hey" I say, greeting my friends.

"Hey" they reply.

"Oh, this is Jake" Camryn says.

I smile at him and notice his features.

He told me how he was just trying out schools, to see which one he liked best. He told us how so far he liked ours but he also liked another.

Since he was sitting with us we didn't talk about what we usually do, boys. Instead we talked about sports. Which for me and my friends meant dance and cheer. But for Jake that meant football and a bunch of others I can't remember.

I was actually a little sad when the bell rang because I needed to tell my girls more about my weekend but I guess it'll have to wait.

My brother is enjoying his senior year in high school. However since I'm only a sophomore, he thinks that he is so much older. I'm 16, and he's 18. I know that he's in charge of me but he should ease up a bit and enjoy life a little more. I feel like I'm the reason that he doesn't go out with friends anymore. I told him this but he dismissed it.

I'm walking out of school when I catch Jake glancing at me.

"See you around" he says.

"Yea, see ya" I say.

Just then Tabby comes up to me. Telling me new witch spells that she learned.

"Did you notice his eyes?" She asks.

"Yea they're nice" I say.

"No, not that. They had a sort of shimmer to them."

"Weird, I didn't notice, probably a witch thing."

TABBY POV

I got this weird sense when I looked at him. Kind of like the same sense when I look at Jackson.

I've been a witch for a while now. And I know what that sense is. It simply means that he, or someone that he's related to, isn't human.

Is it possible that I'm not the only witch? Or is he something else?
