Chapter 40

KENDALL POV

I'm sitting in class when a new guy walks in, he's tall and handsome.

"Hi sorry I'm new here", he says to the teacher handing her his schedule.

"Ok, take a seat wherever you like", she says.

He takes a look around the room before he sees the seat next to me is open and sits in it. He gives me a head nod and I give him one back.

"What are we learning about?" He whispers to me.

"World war two", I whisper back.

"So you're saying it's nap time", he says.

I let out a chuckle and my eyes meet his. They're this really pretty green, like an emerald almost. I return my attention back to the teacher.

JACK POV

"You have 24 hours to deliver him to me or else I'll come get him myself, and I'm messy", the voicemail says. I keep playing it over and over again, hoping it's all just a bad dream. But it's not. Nick is on the hunt for new werewolves and Taylor is on the top of his list. I'm not sure why he wants him, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't just want to chat. Whenever Nick is involved, so is blood. I don't know what to do, do I deliver Taylor to him? Do I sit and do nothing and risk everyone getting hurt? I don't know. My thoughts are interrupted by a knock at the door. I open it and it's my girlfriend, Ari. Luckily she's a vampire and we didn't have to have that awkward conversation. But I do have to tell her about Nick being back.

I play her the voicemail 

"Oh my god", she says.

"I know. I don't know what to do," I say.

"You have to deliver jack to him," she says.

"But I don't want anyone to get hurt", I say.

"Someone is always gonna get hurt in our world"

"Yea..."

After thinking about it for awhile I call Nick.

"Why hello there old friend", he says in his crooked voice.

"What do you want with Taylor?" I get straight to the point.

"I'm planning a revolution, I need fresh pups." He says.

"Promise me he won't get hurt"

"Oh you know I can't promise that"

"Then I guess your gonna have to start your revolution without him", I hang up before he has a chance to respond to that. I don't know what I just did, but I do know I couldn't let him hurt Taylor.

TAYLOR POV
I'm sound asleep in my room when a hand is placed over my mouth. I open my eyes scared, and see Nick standing above me.

"Hello there again", he says.

"Or should I say, fresh pup?" He adds.

All of a sudden I'm being dragged out of bed and into the woods behind my house. I try to scream out for help but his hand remains over my mouth. He puts duct tape over my mouth and ties me to a tree.

"You see, me and you are the only werewolves in this town," Nick says as we settle in a spot in the woods. I look around and it's dark out but I can see that there's rocks arranged in some kind of order.

"In order to make more, I need the blood of the newest werewolf, and that's you", he says, fangs popping out.

Just then, another voice appears out of nowhere, "well you're not gonna get it," I turn around and see that it's Jack. Before I know it, the two of them start fighting. Then, my sister comes running up to me.

"Oh my gosh are you ok?" She says, taking the tape that was on my mouth, off and unties me from the tree.

"I heard fighting." She adds. Both Nick and Jack are going at it, it's werewolf versus vampire and I don't know who's going to win. Finally, Jack throws the last punch and Nick falls to the ground. Jack is a bloody mess, bruised lip and black eye.

KENDALL POV

I can't believe everything that I just saw. Jack looks so beat up. As soon as Nick hit the floor, I wanted to run up to Jack and make sure he was okay. But Ari comes out of nowhere and hugs him.

"Oh my gosh are you okay? I came over because I forgot something, and when I couldn't find you in your house, I assumed this is where you would be," she says hugging him.

"Thank gosh you're okay", she adds.

"Yea" he says, hugging her but eventually looking at me.
