I'm walking home one day from school and I see a moving truck in my driveway. What is going on?
I walk in to see a bunch of people moving furniture outside and into the moving van.
"Taylor?" I call out, wanting to know what is happening.
I walk into his room and see him on his bed. Tears in his eyes. The only time I've seen my brother cry is when my mom left our dad. He was only 7, and I was 5. Ever since then he has always remained strong. Even when we were abused by some of our foster parents, he wouldn't cry. But now he's crying, so it can't be good news.
"Hey what's going on?" I say hugging him.
He gets off of his bed, looks in the mirror, and wipes his eyes.
"I lost my job today. The company was having some money problems and they had to drop a few employees." He says.
My brother worked 2 jobs just so we can have a house. On the weekends he delivered pizza and after school he was a waiter.
"But you still have the one job right?" I ask.
"Yea but that's not enough,as you can clearly see" he says.
"Luckily I found us another house. It's a bit smaller but not too far away" he adds.
"Everything's gonna be okay. I'll go pack my stuff" I say.
I walk into my room and begin packing my things. Right now I live in a normally sized house, but I've lived in small houses before so I'm sure that it'll be fine.
At least I won't have to live next to Jackson anymore. Maybe this new move will be a good thing.
