Chapter 33

Jackson POV
It's been 2 days since Kendall's accident. The doctors kept her over night, just to be sure, but she's home now. I'm so thankful that josh found her because if he didn't, I don't know what would of happened.

But now I have a bigger problem. The very first werewolf, the one who the necklace belongs to, is back. I don't know how but came back. It had to have been a witch, they are the only ones who can awaken the dead. He payed me a visit last night, saying how he wants his necklace back. There's just one problem. Taylor used it all when he was transitioning and now their is no more power left. I've been trying all day, searching for something, anything, that can restore its power. Nothing.

Then an idea pops into my head. Tabby's a witch, there must be some spell that can restore it. I quickly call her and tell her to come over.

There's a knock on the door. It must be her.

"How much time do we have?" She asks as she walks in.

"We have until tonight." I say.

"What happens if we don't finish?"

"Let's just say my head will be part of his new walking stick."

"Ok so let's get to work"

She open her book and starts flipping through pages.

"My grandma was a witch, she passed away but she left this for me. It's a book of spells."

She quickly locates the crystal spell and reads it aloud.

"The power of the stone can be restored but it must involve a sacrifice."

"What kind of sacrifice?" I'm afraid to know the answer.

"The life of a werewolf. It's the only way for the crystal to have new power." She says.

"So basically someone is going to have to die so I can live. Great."

"Why can't we just work out a deal with this guy? What's his name anyways?"

"It's Nicholas and he's the original werewolf. He doesn't do deals."

"That's right I don't"

I turn around and see Nicholas standing in my house.

"How did you get in here?" I ask

"I have my ways" he says with that evil smile of his.

I see Tabby out of the corner of my eye trying to do a spell on him. He quickly runs over to her and pushes her against the wall.

"I'm an original sweetheart, do you really think your silly little tricks will work on me?" His voice sounds so aggressive.

"Don't worry, we are getting you your crystal filled again. Now let her go." I say with confidence.

He removes his hands and she instantly falls to the floor.

"Oh you better because my new friends are going to need it for the full moon." He says.

"New friends?"

"Jared, Simon, Elizabeth. Won't you come out?"

Suddenly 3 people come out of nowhere in my house.

"I like to call them my experiments. Now get me my crystal or else one of your friends will be the newest member in my pack." They all walk out.

It may have took over 2 hours but tabby finally did it. She found a spell and re filled the crystal. There aren't many werewolves in town so when I know that nobody died, I know that nobody died. I'm about to meet up with Nicholas when Kendall comes over.

"There's a full moon tonight and since their is no more crystal...I don't know if he's gonna make it Jack." She says worriedly.

I walk toward her with open arms. "It's gonna be ok. He can do this. He doesn't need some fancy necklace." I say. And in that moment I know that I must tell her everything about Nicholas.

It may have taken me 10 minutes but I told her. Just as she was about to leave Nicholas busts open the front door, leaving it in pieces.

He runs up to Kendall and forcing her head to one side, ready to bite her neck.

"Hey! Hey! I have your necklace let her go!" I yell.

"I don't care about that right now, what I care about is how is one of my experiments dead? Tell me what you did or I swear I'll turn her. " he says.

"I don't know what happened, I swear. Please let her go!" I say.

But in an instant it comes to me. The spell that Tabby did, it said there was to be one werewolf life sacrificed. It has to have been one of his people.

"Tell me!"

"The only way for Tabby to restore its power, was to do a spell. And that spell there must be one werewolves life sacrificed. I'm sorry I thought that she found a way to do it without anyone dying."

"Well now I have one less experiment, I need someone to fill its place. Want to become a werewolf missy? You'd make a fine one."

"Please let me go." Kendall pleads.

He looks into Kendall's pleading eyes. He lets her go but then attacks me. We are fighting on the floor when suddenly, out of nowhere, my vampire instincts kick in. My fangs pop out and I use my super strength to push him off. I think I may have even bit him."

He runs out of my house, completely vanishes. Kendall and I both look at each other and then she runs into my arms. She didn't see me transition. Perhaps my life isn't that bad.

"How did you do that? How'd you push him away?" She asks

"I don't know I guess my strength just kicked in. But I know that Nicholas doesn't loose a fight. He will be back."

"How do you know?"

"Because me and him used to be friends." I say
