Chapter 18: You broke me

I'm just about done packing up my room when I hear a familiar noise outside my window. I peek through the curtains and see Jackson and his girlfriend outside. Eww. I think of how much he hurt me. All of the pain he made me feel. We became so close, we even kissed. But then he said he didn't want to be in a relationship with anyone, yet admitted that he liked me. He never told me about Bri. I confronted him about her, he said she was there when nobody else was. I get it. They have history. Then I asked him why he picked her and not me, when Bri had been ignoring his texts for the past months and I haven't. He said that he would never hurt me, but that's exactly what he did. "Me and her just have more in common. I really like her. It's her. I'm sorry" he said. It's easy to see. She's tall, brunette perfect hair, perfect body, amazing face. Then there's me. Short, blonde, and wavy hair. She doesn't even have to try with him. And I do. I guess it's never gonna be me and him. And I have to accept that. But what I can't accept is the way he hurt me. The way he broke me. How he lied. Telling me I'm important and I matter, then going and picking her over me.

Word has already spread around school that I'm moving. I'm no longer allowed to sit at the popular table anymore, they're afraid to become 'poor' like me. But that's okay. I still have my 3 best friends; Cam, Sydney, and tabby. Oh and there's this new girl in my class, her name is kayli. She's pretty nice too.

"Hey do you have everything? The new people are coming by to look at the house" my brother Taylor says.

"Yea I'm ready when you are" I reply.

"Alrighty let's go then"

I pick up my bag and one box as I carry them to the car. The new people have parked in front of the house. I'm eager to meet them, hoping maybe that they'll have kids so I could possibly babysit for them, anything for cash.

"These are the people moving in" my brother says.

I set the box in the car trunk and turn around. Then she appears. Brianna. She's buying the house.
