Chapter 35

Kendall pov
"What's up?" I say

"He wants the werewolf cure. Today" Jackson says.

"What? No. My brother isn't ready yet. He can't control himself. He doesn't know how to be a werewolf" I say the last part quietly, fear of someone hearing me.

"Kendall I'm sorry but I have to give it to him, if I don't then he'll kill your brother" he whispers too.

I think it over. How could this all happen to me all so fast? "Fine. But what about Taylor?"

"I can help. We don't have any other choice."

I look in my bag until I find it in a little glass bottle. I've been carrying it around just in case Taylor goes on a spurt.
(Now Jackson pov)
"Thank you." I relieve a sigh. Yes Nick would of killed Taylor if he didn't get the cure, but what I didn't tell Kendall? He was gonna kill me to. And even after I give it to him, I can't completely trust him that he still won't go after me or Kendall. Which is why I've been sharpening my vampire skills. Reacting faster, running faster, and mind control. I'll do whatever it takes to keep my friends out of danger.

It's lunch time so I'm walking to where I usually sit which is with Kendall, tabby, Camryn, josh, cam, and me. But when I get there I see an unfamiliar face. I usually sit next to Kendall but there's a guy sitting next to her. I walk up and take the seat across from her instead. Everyone is already caught up in what's happening with Kendall's brother and the cure.

"Hey jack this is Kyle." Kendall introduces us.

I give him a head nod but he only glances at me. He's tall, pale, and his hair is a dark brown. He's a little muscular but not to much to make him look like a vampire.

He says something funny and Kendall laughs like it was funnier then it actually was. She's blushing hard over and I look over at her friends. Camryn and cam...I don't know if they're together or not, it's complicated with them. Josh and tabby really only went on one date but they seem to be just friends. Kyles arm slides down until it hits his thigh. I'm guessing he's trying to make a move on her. But Kendall doesn't react at all. No smile or frown. Tabby gives her an eyebrow raise.

Kyle's taking to everyone at the table but I'm more focused on his mouth. I'm not sure if it's true but it looks like Kyle has fangs. Or at least he did. He closes his mouth for a second and his teeth look normal again. I'm probably just seeing things. There can't be another vampire in town. I would've been able to tell.

"Who wants to come to the cafeteria and get some food with me?" Kyle asks.

Kendall's looking down at her food but I see Kyle's shoulder move just a tad. "I'll go" she says looking up with a smile on her face. They walk away and it seems like I'm the only one who thought that was a little odd.

The rest of the day goes by quickly and the bell finally rings. I'm chilling at home watching tv when there's a loud knock at the door. I get to answer it but quickly regret it. It's Nick standing at the door.

"Where is it? I want the cure and I want it now!"

"Ok ok I have it let me get it" I say with my hands held up.

I walk into the kitchen to grab it and give it to him. "Can cross that off the list. Now all I need is a werewolf" he says walking away.

"Wait what?" I ask paranoid.

"Well you think that I can just drink this and everything will be all unicorns and rainbows? Sorry to burst your bubble boy but it's not like that."

"Why do you need a werewolf?"

"Well to kill him of course! If one wants to break the curse then one must get rid of a cursed soul."

Before I can say anything he runs away with vampire speed. I run over to Kendall's house, the only place I know where a werewolf lives. Kendall is being pressed up against the wall, a knife to her throat. And that knife is held by nick. He turns around and sees me. He knows I'll try to save her.

"Make one step and I'll slit her throat."

"Please let her go" I say begging.

"Now Kendall, where's your brother?" He says.

"I don't know. He went out with some friends" she says, gasping for air.

"Wrong answer"

I can tell what he's about to do. I know he'll do it without a moment to hesitate. I run over to him and throw him on the ground. He has the knife and it's right under my stomach.

"Kendall run!" I yell to her, but she's no where in sight. All of a sudden nicks face goes blank and falls to the ground. She stabbed him a kitchen knife. He won't be down for long because he's a vampire so we need to act quick.

"Let's move him to my house, now!" I say.

We drag him in and tie him up to a chair with super tight chains. He's still out but should be waking up soon. Kendall raps her arms around me and gives me a big hug. "Thank you. You saved me" she starts to tear up a little bit.

"I promise I won't let anything happen to you as long as I live" I look her straight in the eye. And it was then in that moment I feel like it's only me and her in the room, in the whole world. We're interrupted by Nick screaming.
