Vampire crush

Chapter 22

Jackson POV
I'm in the middle of doing homework when my phone rings, it's Bri. She has been really clingy the past few days and it's really starting to annoy me. Decline call. I go back to my paper but she calls again. Decline. I try to go back but she calls me for the third time. What is going on? She's never called me this many times unless she was having some fashion crisis. Yes, she is obsessed with fashion.

"Hello" I say hesitantly into the phone.

"Jackson? Where are you?" Bri says, breathing heavily.

"I'm at home, are you ok?"

"Not really, there's others"

"What do you mean by others?"

"Vampires, I think,they kidnapped me. I don't know what to do. I told them I'm a vampire but they don't care. I don't know what they are but they're stronger and faster than any vampires I've ever seen...Jack I think they're gonna kill me"

"Where are you, I'm coming right now"

"I'm in a big-"

"Hello? Bri?"

"Jack?"

I look at my phone and I lost the call. I try to call back but I keep getting her voicemail.

I'm able to trace the call back to an abandoned warehouse about a mile from here. I get in my truck and drive off.

When I get there I have a knife in my pocket and a gun in my hand.  I sneak behind the building and listen to two guys talking.

"What do you want me to do? Kill her?"
One says in a deep voice.

"If that's what you have to do. See if she'll tell you anything first. Her dad could be the answer to everything." One says in a slightly higher voice.

"Yes sir"

I sneak into the building where she is. I see her. Our eyes make contact and I see how she is being hanged by her arms. Her wrists have blood on them and they stain the rope holding her up.
I'm hiding behind a crate, being careful not to get caught.

A man dressed in all black walks up to her.

"Shh, no need to whine. I'm going to take the tape off your mouth and you are going to tell me where you father is ok?" He says.

He removes the tape and she spits in his face.

"I wouldn't of done that sweetheart." He says.

"Ethan! I think our friend looks a bit dry, could you wash her off?"

The man who I suppose is named Ethan sprays her with a hose. But it's not just a water hose. It's filled with vampire poison. They put the tape back on her mouth so you can't hear her scream. But I see the pain in her eyes. I see her body get really red. Vampire poison is very hot to the touch, for vampires. Her body burns but soon returns to normal color.

"Stop!" I shout, standing up, revealing myself.

The 2 men turn around to face me.

"Let me guess you're probably the boyfriend who thinks he is a hero? Am I right?"

"Let her go" I say, not answering his question.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. You see, she's a vampire and her father knows things he shouldn't. Now we don't know where he is, but as soon as I send him a picture of his daughter hanging...he'll come running to me."

"What are you gonna do? Kill her dad?" I say.

"Unfortunately I can't do that" he says angry.

"And why's that?"

"Because he's a werewolf"
