"... Hey! And I don't know much about fighting, but I, I know I will fight for you
Hey! Just when I ball up my fist I realize that I'm laying right next to you..."

Beyoncé's song 1+1 filled the kitchen as Miya sung along.

I wore only my grey shorts and she wore my t-shirt; which was basically a mini dress for her.

It was Saturday morning and I was determined on making a Philly cheese steak sandwich, using a recipe I found online. I had only a few hours of relaxation, being that I would have to leave at 12:00. I had a game today.

"I'm going to ask you again; do you want some?" I questioned. Slowly reviewing the instructions on my phone, I flipped the steak twice. I glanced at Miya as the crackle sound followed the amazing aroma.

"Who me?" She sung.

I kissed my teeth. "No..." I said with sarcasm. "I'm talking to the uh... The refrigerator."

"Im talking to the refrigerator." She mocked me. "And for the 500th time no."

"Okay, but I swear if you ask for some when I'm eat-"

"Aye! This is my song!" Miya cheered, interrupting me. She jumped off the counter and danced along to the beat off the song. She increased the volume on her phone and swayed side to side, matching the beat.

"Miya... Miya?" I called her, while turning off the stove.

"Yes?" She turned around and faced me. Pausing her mini dance session, looking at me wonderingly.

"Are you sure you don't want some?" I asked.

"No, I don't."

I nodded, but I already knew she was going to ask for a bite of my sandwich. I moved around the kitchen, opened the cabinet and grabbed a plate.

Slowly fixing my sandwich; it looked perfect. I smiled at my accomplishment, I turned my head to look at Miya, so I could share my little moment with her, but she was in her own world. I stared at her, slipping into a gaze. I leaned onto the counter and looked at her as if she was candy; like I was a little boy that wanted the chocolate bar in the store.

Too busy fantasizing to realize Miya had walked over to me. Only being inches apart, she held a wooden spoon and lip sung the lyrics. As if she was performing at a concert, she over exaggerated her movements, caressing my chest and chin. A chuckled slipped between my lips.

I remembered my sandwich, I looked at it and grabbed it with one movement. I bit into the warm juicy goodness. I held the sandwich with my right hand and waltz over to the refrigerator, grabbing a soda.

I hopped on the counter and continued to watch Miya's performance.

I laughed as Miya dropped and nae nae 'd to the beat, which I found really funny, almost chocking on my sandwich. Miya joined me with a small chuckle. She slid over to me, which was easy because of her socks. She smiled and slid her hands down my chest then around my waist. I chewed the piece of sandwich that was in my mouth.

"Give me a bite?" She quizzed.

"Miya! I asked you if you wanted some and what did you say?" I snapped with my mouth full.

"I just want a little taste." She whined. I ignored her and continued to eat. "Chris! Please!" I shook my head no. "Please!"

"Please!" She started to fake cry. I shook my head and sighed with frustration.
