Short chapter
I like writing about the basketball games...
Chris
The referee blew his whistle and threw the ball in the air. Our center quickly smacked the ball to our side. Like the true ball hog I am, I caught the ball before anyone else could and immediately began dribbling the ball down the court. I had to play my very best, important people were watching.
I swerved around two guys and shot the ball. It went through the net and the crowd simultaneously went wild. I pounded my chest and held my hands out, taunting the two guys. "Nothing but net baby, let's go!"
The cheerleaders were cheering as the game went on.
The opponent's team name was the Tigers. They couldn't handle the big dogs though, me especially.
One of the Tiger's players retrieved the ball. I held my hands out, blocking him from being able to move around. His face looked flustered as he took a deep breath. He jumped and shot the ball, I attempted to smack the ball, but it bypassed me by two inches. It bounced against rim and everybody watched anxiously, everyone having their own wishes.
Unfortunately, the ball went it. I grew angry as I jogged away from the guy and his taunting.
I checked out the scoreboard before making my way down the court.
The other team received the ball, dribbling down the court. I was in front of a guy, blocking him from being able to shoot.
He took a chance. The guy threw the ball in the air. My fast reflexes kicked in, I jumped and grabbed the ball, I began dribbling towards the net. I swerved past everyone, that's until one guy stuck his foot out and tripped me up. I stumbled right before throwing an air ball.
People oohed, this being the first shot I missed in a while and it was all that punk's fault. I felt myself getting upset, because this was my game. I was the star and I'm tried of people trying to foul me.
"Aye! Bro, we got a problem?" I strolled over to him with my fists balled up. My chest was poked out and I clenched down on my jaw. I sized the guy up, I could take him.
"Nah man." He said, waving his hand in my face.
I pointed my fingers at him, and they made a shape of a gun. "Ima' let you know now, you messing with the wrong one homie-"
"What you gon' do light skin?" He stepped up to me. Our glares were mean.
"Chris let it go." I felt Thomas' hand on my shoulder. I shoved him off and mugged the guy, sizing him up once again. I heard the whistle blow and the referee was sure on his way.
"Shit, make your move." I taunted. He eyed me as his nostrils flared. "Your ass can't even shoot. This your first time getting PT, ain't it?"
My comment was sure enough to get him fired up. I waited for him to do something, but that's when the referee stood between us.
"Cut it out- hey!" The referee pushed the guy back. "Calm down!"
I leaned over as I felt a couple people hold me back. "You getting too excited you finally got PT, huh?" I dodged as he swung. His fist flew inches away from my face. I huffed and try to swing at him.
"Chill! Man!" I heard someone shout.
The referee's whistle blew constantly.
Seconds later, I sat down on the bench. I drank the water in my hand. I looked past people, staring at mr. I-can't-shoot. I grinned while he looked over at me pounded his fist against his chest.

Needless to say, I was motivated to kick ass. I snagged the ball every other time and made sure my shots got the crowd wild. I hate to pass the ball, when I get it, I have it for the remaining time. Unless, I had a strategy.
I bounced the ball with one hand and directed with the other. I eyed Thomas making sure he knew what I was planing. He immediately ran down the court. I pretended to move one way then turned around, passing the ball to Desean. He aggressively pushed past people, dribbling the ball.
I waved my hands and two players approached me, Desean looked in my direction, but threw the ball to Thomas. He wastes no time shooting the ball.
"That's what I'm talking about Tom!" Desean cheered, dapping Thomas up.
The game was a close call, but I just had to end off with my signature dunk. I held my hand up and directed what I wanted to do to Sean, who had the ball. He nodded and we ran down the court. He was on the left side and I was on the right.
The time was almost up. Sean jumped up and threw the ball in the air, I ran over to it and jumped as high as I could. My right hand gripped the ball tightly. I slammed the ball hard, feeling the rim and backboard vibrate.
Once I jumped down, the crowd went wild, like always. My teammates ran over to me jumping up and down. Game over:
Bulldogs: 98 Tigers: 94
