Chris.
My alarm went off. I sigh, roll out of bed and walk out of my room. I go straight into the bathroom to take a nice hot shower.
Fifteen minutes later, I had the towel wrapped around my waist. I walk in my room and shut the door.
Before doing anything else I unplugged my phone and checked my notifications. Bianca, Bianca, Bianca is all I see, and some Twitter notifications.
I had broke up with her last night, after she called me a dog. So I told her a dog can't date a human, so I guess it's over... I laughed to myself.
I'll be damned if I let anyone disrespect me like that. Besides I grew tired of her, she always used the "L" word (love) and she cursed me out all the time. She must've forgotten who I was.
After drying myself and putting lotion on, I throw on a random outfit. I grab my pick, my bag, and my hoodie it's kind of cold today, in Los Angeles. The minute I pick up my bag I remember I didn't do my homework for first period. Which was to read chapter one.
Damn...
I stuck the pick in my hair, as I unzip my book bag looking for the book the teacher had given to me. When I find it, I sigh in relief. I take the pick out of my hair and stuff it in my bag. I swing my bag over my shoulders and adjust it.
As I got to the front door I called out to my mom. "MOM! IM LEAVING... I LOVE YOU!" Not waiting for her response, I don't have time, I walk out and shut the door. I walk over to my 2013 white Nissan Altima and hop in.
In between red lights I tried to read chapter one. I decided that wasn't going to work, I was going to try to read and drive at the same time, but it wasn't worth it.
Finally arriving to school (on time, if I may add) I got out of my car and locked it. With my book bag on my shoulders I continue reading the book as I enter the school hallway.
"He's so cute." I heard this one girl say. "Hey Chris!"
"What's going on?" I walk past the group of girls without taking my eyes off the book. I hear them squeal. I shake my head, laughing, it's funny because girls think I never catch them whispering things like 'he's cute' or they think I don't notice how pressed they are for me. I don't blame them though.
"The book funny?" I hear Thomas' voice.
I glance at him quickly. "Nah." I dap him up and walk over to my locker. Finally taking a break from reading. "I was suppose to read this last night, but I forgot."
"Wow." Thomas said sarcastically. "I see you, I see you."
"I'm serious about my grades this time." I inform him, as I grab what I need for my first class out of my locker.
"Or is it 'cause you got a girl to tutor you?" Thomas quizzed, nudging me on my side.
"No, she didn't even start tutoring me yet. So you sound dumb." I close my locker and lean on it. "Besides it wasn't even my idea, the teachers just made it happen"
"But you're going to try to make a move on her?" Thomas asked curiously.
I thought about it for a brief moment.
Miya... It's something about her; I can't put my finger on it, but I like it. Maybe it's her nonchalant attitude or her laugh, her laugh is cute. I like making her laugh even though we only starting holding conversations for like what a day... Two days? Or maybe it's her smooth brown skin that seems to glow. Her smile... I don't know.
