This is a flashback. This entire chapter is Percy's flashback of his betrayal. Sorry for taking so long to update, and this is dedicated to DemigodInTraining. Thanks for being the first to comment!

Percy and Annabeth were relaxing after the Giant war. Then they heard the scream. They both jumped to their feet, drawing their weapons as they ran, Percy outrunning his girlfriend easily. Percy reached Thalia's tree, and seen a demigod that sorta looked like him, with slightly darker sea green eyes and dirty blonde hair. The demigod was running from- a partly grown baby hellhound. Rolling his eyes a little, Percy uncapped Riptide and charged the hellhound. A single slash from the bronze sword and it exploded into golden dust. Annabeth arrived just as the demigod shoved Percy and took his bronze sword. "I fought an entire pack of those demon dog thingies while he hid behind a tree!" the demigod lied easily in a bragging voice, trying to impress Annabeth. Percy was surprised. Obviously, it showed, mixed with intense confusion, because Annabeth rolled her grey eyes and in a sarcastic voice said "Oh, I'm sure you did!".

                                                              Some time later..............

The new demigod had told everybody in camp his first lie, and half of them believed him! The Ares cabin, half the Aphrodite kids did, and half the Hermes kid too. Percy figured this out as he walked to the Mess Hall, half the camp whispering and giving him dirty looks. He gave them confused looks, before shrugging and walking to the Poseidon table. At least Riptide returned to him. "Aren't you going to thank me?" A arrogant voice asked smugly. Percy glanced up in annoyance- it was the lying demigod he had saved."For what?" was Percy's response. "For saving you." Was the annoyed dirty blonde's response. "I don't remember you saving me. Do I know you?" Percy asked, slightly amused but mostly annoyed. The new demigod's green eyes flashed with frustration and annoyance. With a growl of frustration, the kid stalked to the Hermes's table, where half of them shot Percy dirty looks. After quickly wolfing down a dinner and ignoring the looks he was given, Percy walked like a pro from the hall.

Percy and Annabeth walked towards the beach, holding hands, smiling and laughing like a normal couple, a couple that haven't been a war, a couple who didn't know about Greek gods, happily unknowing. They laughed and had one last kiss before departing to their cabins.

                                                  The next day....... and week.................

The new demigod, Jack, was claimed by Poseidon. The half-brothers looked at each other suspiciously. After their Greek dad left, Jack told his followers that Percy worked for the enemy. After that, Percy felt his friends drifting. Towards Jack. Jack also convinced new campers with his lies, stole personal things and broke them, saying that Percy did it. When Percy felt  Annabeth drifting, he decided to propose to her. He asked Athena for permission, who sent him to get a single golden apple that was guarded by Ladon.

                                         One month later...........................

Percy had finally completed his quest. Holding a velvet box, he entered camp. It was empty. Strange. Then he heard cheering at the beach. Percy cautiously approached, and spotted the crowd of demigods. What he saw next broke his heart. Shattered it. Annabeth and Jack were in an extreme kissing session, his dad cheering his approval. "Percy was weak! I disown him! Jack is my favorite son, not that cowardly traitor!" Poseidon boomed. "How could you, Annabeth." Percy whispered, just loud enough so that she could hear him. All the cheering stopped. Annabeth and Jack stopped kissing. "Well? Grab the traitor!" Jack roared. Percy turned and ran towards the campfire, the entire camp chasing him. "To the gods!"
