A/N: I'm doing this one part of just me for the moment, because even though I know DemigodInTraining pretty well, I don't think I know her that well. Also, sorry if this seems a little rushed. I'm just not feeling it lately, or the weeks before, but yeah. You guys deserve more than what my laziness has to offer. Btw, this is going to be in my POV. Now, onto the story! The next chapter will be for DemigodInTraining to write.

I just sorta went with the flow, sorta like that one time that my step-dad made me do a talent show audition. I looked everywhere except my audience, like that random patch of grass. No, don't focus on that. They'll think me weak as my head won't be held high and proud. Right. Sadly, the outdoors don't exactly have a ceiling, so I guess that I'll just stare at that pine tree on top of the hill. I focused on that. I didn't look at Faith because then she'll see how nervous and weak I really am. I can't let that happen, I have to be strong. Strong for her. Strong for everyone I care about now and those I have yet to call "friend". Okay. Any moment now, and I'll have to introduce myself. I had quickly calmed myself, and now was listening in on my teammates introductions and the reactions. After all, I don't want to be stuck in the dark despite the chances I had. I would be a fool to not take this chance.
By far, Ethan's introduction was both the most interesting and most awkward. The interesting part was mainly because Spike added on. I studied this because out of everyone, Spike was the real mystery, a bit more of a mystery than Omega. I was surprised at Spike's reaction, truth ringing in his dark words. Then he snapped back to his usual self. Before I could think too much about this, Spike cheerfully barked, "Now for our newest members!" I stepped forward, thinking, It's now or never, and started hastily planning what I was going to say before I could choose the never part. I knew that I had caught quite a bit of attention, with my dark aura of power and the crown on my head. Good, I thought. Hopefully they'll still be a bit focused on me when Faith gives her introduction, because who knows how Poseidon will react. Keep them focused on me, the possible threat.
"Well, I'm Shadow, short for Shadow Wolf, because I'm the Queen of Shadow Wolves. My best friend is Siren. My real name? Well, not that it REALLY matters, but the name is Esperanza Cruz. Daughter of Nyx and a mortal. I joined, because, why not? And.... SO YOU CAN'T STRIKE ME DOWN YOU ARROGANT POWER HUNGRY BASTARD, ZEUS!" I said as confidently as I could possibly sound, and yet my body betrayed me by shifting a little uncomfortably. I hope no one noticed that. Damn, I hate attention. I have stage fright for a reason..... I muttered in my mind before banishing the thought to who knows where. I took a deep breath and stepped aside, to the rest of my team who had already revealed themselves, not even bothering to look behind me to see their reactions.
I focused on Faith. You've got this. I wanted to reassure her. My best friend had been waiting patiently, though as it got closer to her turn, she became a bit more nervous, and it was starting to show to those who did not know her well enough. You'd think that she'd be jealous, of my power and all that stuff I don't really care about, but Faith is special. She only sees the good in people. And for that I want to protect her until my last dying breath, because I know that one day someone will find out about that one part that is both her strength and weakness and use it to their advantage. But first I have to make her proud, do the best I can do and do good with the powers I was gifted with for both her and my mother.
Omega turned and looked Faith in the eye and nods. At this point Faith is almost a nervous wreck, but she's hiding it well and recovering quickly. My best friend keeps glancing down. I want to tell her that she should keep her head up, that she has every right and reason to be proud of herself and who she is, and that no one who is actually someone would think badly of her. But I steel myself. Faith has to do this alone. I mentally flinched when she stuttered a little. However, she calmed down quite a bit when she took a deep breath. She said that she was a daughter of Poseidon so casually, almost dismissively, and I couldn't stop the smile on my face from forming and a feeling of honor when she said what she said about me. The feeling was mutual. I felt guilty because I had only said that she was my best friend, though I'd brutally murder anyone who even bruised her.
Faith finally looked up, but more of a gazing up at the stars kind of up, unwilling to meet anyone's eyes. My best friend seems to become more nervous of any possible reactions, though hopefully to anyone else it would seem like ADHD. Though that would be hard to believe with her shaky breaths. Calm down. I wanted to whisper to her softly. Then her brown blue-flecked eyes met my dark eyes. We're here for you. I wanted to say. Finally, Faith calmed down. I notice briefly that Poseidon looks a bit sad and a little more ashamed, and I can't stop the almost-smug smirk from forming as Faith moved to stand beside me. Immortal and still doesn't realize that major negative actions leads to major consequences? A shame, really. Then to my surprise, Apollo and Hera step forward.
I narrow my eyes. What are they doing? Should I attack? My suspicion turned to shock and the feeling of being creeped out when the two completely different Olympians said at the same exact time, "We'd like to bless the new team members." I narrowed my eyes again. "Why?" I asked, though what I really wanted to say was 'okay, so what do you want us to do in return though?'. Apollo stepped towards me. I fought against the instinct to back away, and glared into his blue eyes. "Well, I'd be the one to bless you, and mainly because you're singing skills are awful. You had the right idea to use it as a weapon and threat, but it's just so awful it gives me a headache." Apollo said almost "apollo"-getically, not bothering to sugarcoat it. I blinked before shrugging. "Okay." I said. As much as I would miss threatening people with my singing, I myself hate headaches.
'Also so you can fight the darkness within you.' Apollo's voice whispered in my mind before throwing a ball of light or energy or whatever it was at me. I nearly crumbled and instead only fell to my knees. Though I accepted the blessing, my dark side, the one with black eyes and white pupils, clashed against it painfully. I growled, fighting against the other side of me which was clawing at me to be released. I took the blessing and used it to trap the other "me" in a smaller portion of my mind, where it would still be comfortable enough, so I could still tap into that power, and so it wouldn't be able to hurt anyone. Other Me (I'm just gonna call it Darkness), however, was not pleased at all, and tried to claw out. To my surprise, the shadows wrapped around me.
The shadows swallowed me, and spat me out in- Alaska?! - before swallowing me again and spitting me out again and repeating the process, each time a different place, for what seemed like hours before I was spat out in some dark looking place, saw people with sticks talking, before the shadows took me one final time and spat me out one last time, this time where I had been originally: Camp Half-Blood. Darkness was exhausted after that little temper tantrum of using shadows to throw me around like a rag doll, and so was I. I groaned and rolled out of the shadows in front of the Chaos Cabin. I got to my feet and stumbled inside the Cabin like a drunk person before collapsing at someone's feet and embracing unconsciousness.
